Chapter 21

Austin's P.O.V

I started walking back to Dez's car sticky with salt water and sand. Of course with my fantastic luck tonight it began raining. No. raining was an understatement, it was like all watery hell had broke loose drenching everything in it's path.

I looked around to see Dez's car no where in sight. Great. I walked a few blocks, thank goodness my house was close by! I got home and grabbed the spare key since my parents were out for the weekend. Then ran straight up into my room and took a shower. I was drying off when I heard a knock at the door. I wrapped a towel around my torso and went downstairs. I opened the door to see none other than

Ally Dawson.

She stood there in the doorway breathing heavy. Did she run here? I stood there shocked that she remembered where I live.

"Austin, I didn't mean to like disturb you at your house or anything. Not that I'm not wanting to disturb you no that's not what I meant ugh um. " she was talking very fast.

"Um I'll just say it Austin I'm sorry I tried to kis-." I stopped her speed talking by pulling her into a tight hug. She hesitated but hugged back. I twirled a piece of her drenched hair.

"Dude you're soaked." I laughed. She stepped back and looked at me.

"And you're ......" She stopped and started giggling. I was confused and looked down to see I was still in a towel. Could this night get any worse? I felt my face turning red as I ran up stairs and changed.

I made us both some hot chocolate and we sat in silence for a few minutes.

"I probably should get home." I grabbed her arm before she could get to the door. I looked out the window to see the rain pouring.

"There is no way I'm letting you go out in the rain by yourself, you'll stay here for tonight." I threw her an old shirt and sweatpants.

"Thank you." She said before going up to change. I put on a movie, made popcorn, and then threw a blanket over us. We sat for a while then Ally scooted closer to me and paused the movie.

"What I was trying to say before was that I'm sorry I tried to kiss you, I didn't mean-"

"It's ok." Really Austin really! It's ok, is that really the best you could do?

"By the way I-". I looked down and she was asleep on my chest. I waited a few minutes before I leaned down and whispered in her ear.

"By the way I really did want to kiss you."

Hey hey hey! Can we just take a moment to die over Cloud 9? Like it is literally one of my new favorite movies, it was so good and romantic and that kiss tho 😍😍😍😍 we need an auslly kiss like that! Ya hear me disney? And OMG the song I bought it and I literally have listened to nothing else! I ❤️ it!

This must be how it feels to fly on Cloud 9..........
