Chapter 26.

Ally's P.O.V

I started to clean up, but curiosity got the best of me. I felt my feet sprinting towards the door.

"Dez, Wait!" He turned around.

"Where are they?"

"The pier." He smiled, happily stuffing cookies in his mouth.

At the pier 11:45pm-

I looked around to see it was completely empty. All the booths and rides were closed, not a person in sight.

"Austin?, Austin!" I called out. No answer, of course he left! I started to walk away until I saw a familiar mop of blonde hair underneath the pier. I walked down the steps to see Austin holding a single rose.

I totally had no idea what to say. You stood me up? You could have called? I'm really mad...? I looked again at the rose in his hand.

"So...who is she?" He laughed a little.

"What?" I asked in a questioning tone.

"No one.." He answered. I looked annoyed. Seriously... He's not gonna tell me, I thought we were friends.

"I mean "she" doesn't exist." I gave him a puzzled look.

"Bu-Wha-, Then who is that for?" I pointed to the rose. He held it out towards me.

"You."

--------------------------------------

He grabbed my hand and walked down the steps of the pier to the beach. Then started dragging me across the beach.

He stopped at a little table, with a candle in the middle. He looked at me nervously as if he were asking for some type of approval. I smiled at him and he relaxed.

"What's all this for?" He pulled out a chair for me.

"We conquered something amazing today, why not celebrate?" I sat down.

"I'm sorry for standing you up at Sonic Boom I was waiting for the perfect time when the stars cast a stunning light on the ocean." He smiled, then his eyes did that beautiful sparkling thing, completely mesmerizing me.

"Y-yeah it's uh all good." I stuttered. He grabbed my hand from across the table.

"Ally are you sure you forgive me." I nodded and he smiled.

After dinner-

Austin put on a little music.

"Do you wanna dance?" He stood up and looked at me.

"I know you don't know me that well but I can't really dance..."

He smirked and pointed to a spot on the sand perfectly illuminated like a spotlight. I gave in and walked with him. He pulled me into to his chest and I rested my head in the crook of his neck, slow dancing in the moonlight, and may I say

It was perfect.
