Chapter 23

Austin's P.O.V

I got up and walked to the kitchen still a little shaken from that dream. Ally walked up behind me rubbing her eyes.

"What time is it?"

"3:00 am."

I turned around to look at her, she looked much more awake now. We exchanged glances in the silence that surrounded us, then she spoke up.

"Hey, do you want to go somewhere, anywhere?" Now she completely seemed full of energy. I looked outside to see it was lightly misting.

"Yeah there's a park a few blocks down from here." I smiled at her then turned to walk out the door but she spun me around and pulled me into a tight hug.

"Sounds great." We both grabbed jackets and started walking.

Ally's P.O.V

We walked side by side and Austin continually would look at me and check to make sure I was ok. He occasionally mumbled things to himself, and seemed as if he thought something bad was going to happen to me. We were almost to the park when I stopped walking and stood right in front of him.

"Ally are you ok?"

"Yes Austin I'm fine, what's going on with you?"

"Nothing......." He trailed off.

"Nothing at all." I put my hand on his shoulder sympathetically. He looked nervous.

"Wow..." I moved my hand from his shoulder to his cheek.

"That must have been some nightmare you had." He slowly moved my hand away.

"You could say that, I'd rather not talk about it." His face then lit up.

"Hey! There's the park!" He dragged me over there, I giggled and rolled my eyes at his silliness. We got on a tire swing and laughed and swung for a while. We both got tired and the swing started slowing down.

I looked at Austin, the moonlight hitting his face perfectly. I had never seen his hazel eyes glisten like that before. It was like a thousand tiny gleaming stars in a galaxy of wonder. It was just breathtaking.

"Ally!" Austin grabbed my waist quickly before I fell off the tire swing. I guess I had been so caught up I didn't realize I nearly face planted. Austin pulled me back to my side and the swing shifted, causing me to lean up against him. I wrapped my arms around his neck for support, then started to feel really tired.

Morning-

*Poke* "Ow!"

*Poke* "Ow! Austin stop!" I opened my eyes to see a little girl in front of me, poking my cheek. Then I realized I'm still on the swing, in the park.

"I thought you were dead!" The girl laughed. I looked down to see I was still laying on Austin. I shook him awake and we were nose to nose. We blushed and smiled at each other, then the girl waved her hand in front of our faces.

"Who's this?" Austin asked then he realized we were still in he park.

"Are you two dating?" The little girl pointed to Austin and I, still entangled on the swing.

"Um no..."

"That's not what you said in your sleep." The girl smirked.

"W-what?" We looked at each other completely shocked. The girl started giggling.

"Kidding! I'm Elae by the way." She continued laughing and ran off.

Austin and I hopped off the tire swing to find ourselves soaking wet, apparently that light mist had become pouring rain overnight. We trudged back to Austin's house, I grabbed my dress and decided to head home.

"Here I'll walk you!" Austin offered. We walked, laughed, talked, and I'm sure we might have taken a wrong turn to my house. It was ok though because we were having so much fun. Then as we were casually talking Austin stopped dead in his tracks and looked completely paralyzed.

"Austin, what's wrong?" I asked confused. He turned me around and I froze.
