"Take care of yourself. Your life can be gone in a split second."

I laid in the bed watching tv as loyalty rested her head on my chest.

"Baby. Can I ask you something?" she rubbed her finger down my chest.

"What is it ma?" I browsed through the channels.

"When are we going to become official?"

"What you tryna' say?" I sat up, putting the television on mute.

"Like when are we going to get married and start a family."

"I think it's too early ta' be thinking bout' dat'." I looked at her, "I'm still young."

"August we've been together for two years."

"Can we just enjoy what we have goin' on right na'?" I asked.

"What do we have going on right now?" she sat up and looked at me.

"I love you baybeh' you know dat' right?"

"I love you too." she replied, "But I just want to know would we ever settle down and start a family or am I just wasting my time with you."

"I've thought about it. But baybeh' I'm still young. I don't want ta' be worrying about marriage and all dat' shit right na'."

"Just give me a valid answer."

"Yes. In da' future I plan on starting a family but right na' I don't think so."

"Okay August." she turned around.

"We good baybeh'?" I playfully kissed her cheek.

"Stop August."She chuckled, "Yes we're good."

"Alright. I was just making sure." I smiled.

"Whatever." She laughed, "Can you cuddle with me babe."

"I don't know about all dat'."

"Quit playing August. We cuddle all the time. Please." She poked out her lip.

"Ima' do it dis' one time just because you look cute making dat' face."

"Stop fronting like you don't cuddle with me all the time." she smiled.

"It's because I don't." I chuckled.

She laid on top of me. Bending and Separating her legs across mines. She pressed her knees tight into my hips. Wrapping her arms around my neck.

I tighten my grasp around her waist.

"I could lay like this forever babe." She smiled into my chest.

"It's not dat' bad." I turned my head to face my window.

"You know you mean everything to me right?" she lifted up her head.

"I hope so." I turned my head to face her.

"And I would never hurt you. I love you so much August. You just don't understand."
