The reactions of the public and the media in regards towards the pregnancy were very wholehearted. Since their popularity (especially Evee's) had taken a little plunge since the wedding, it seemed as if the nation were very keen on welcoming  a new member of the royal family. People could not wait to see Harry as a father, they genuinely wanted him to have that happiness. They also wanted to see Wiliam as an uncle and Catherine as an aunt.
In the week after the public announcement, Kensington Palace had received tons of well-wishing cards and even gifts from all over the world. From little teddybears to unisex baby clothes. Since Evee had not shopped or looked around for anything herself, it was all a little overwhelming. She honestly wanted to wait until they knew the gender of the baby before she went in full shopping modus.
"Where are we going?" Evee wondered, sitting comfortable in the passenger seat of the Audi. Her husband was driving next to her, eyes upon the road.
"It's a surprise, I already told you that." He smiled, giving her a small glance.
The public had not seen the couple yet since their pregnancy statement and the blonde would have liked it if Harry warned her if they were going somewhere out in the open. "Is it a public place?"
"I would have brought James or Bob if it was. Don't worry." He spoke carefully.
"Okay then." She nodded her head, "Is it a long drive?"
"Just another half an hour, it's not that far." He grinned, turning his eyes back on the road. Trying to change the subject, he questioned, "Are you excited for tomorrow?"
"To find out the gender?" Evee asked, subconsciously placing her left hand upon her small stomach. "Yes." She told herself for days that she just wanted it to be healthy and she did, she wasn't very religious but she prayed every day that things would be fine. As their next appointment with the gynaecologist came closer, she couldn't contain her own excitement.
She honestly couldn't understand how people didn't want to know the gender until they gave birth. It would drive her nuts. She always had a curious mind, it was a treat she had in common with her husband.
"Any bets?" Harry excitingly spoke once again.
"Depends." She raised her eyebrow. "What are we betting on?"
She honestly wouldn't mind taking his motorcycle away from him a few months after the birth. Now that they were expecting a baby, Evee's worries about her husband's safety were even more severe than they had ever been before.
She knew he loved that motorcycle but it wasn't the safest vehicle in the world.
"If I win this bet, you can't call me names during labour." He shrugged, ignoring her wide eyed gaze turning towards him.
"It's the only actual time I'm allowed to do that! That's so unfair."
"Fine, you can only call me two different curse names, not in front of the doctor or midwife." He grinned.
"Are you going to pick out the curse names yourself?" She raised her eyebrow at him, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"I just might." He looked at her with an expected glance.
"If I win you won't drive your motorcycle the upcoming six months after birth." She shot back at her husband.
"What? No! You know how much I love it." He shook his head fiercely.
"It's for safety measurements." Evee smirked triumphal.
"These bets suck, let's not place any bets on our child." Harry mumbled, turning the car into one familiar road. Evee had only been here one time before, to visit Harry's father during the summer. "It'll be a girl anyways." She heard him speak.
