Evee's tired eyes turned towards the curtain-closed window, there was a tiny gap in between, she could tell from that space that Winter was full on. The sky was grey and from the bright reflection, she could tell that there was a layer of snow outside. "I want him to open his eyes." She heard Chloe whisper.

"He's been sleeping quite a lot, has he?" Harry spoke, looking at his son, who didn't seem to care about anything in his wife's best friend's arms. "That's normal, right?" A hint of worry edged on his face.

"It just means he's the son of Evee." Chloe spoke, smiling adoringly at the perfect mixture of her own best friend and her husband. Everyone, including Evee's parents, whom visited an hour ago, said that little Samuel looked exactly like his father. She didn't think so.

He resembled Harry quite a bit, she had to admit but she knew Evee like the back of her hand. This little boy had more from his mother than anyone saw. The way he scrunched his little nose every once in a while when he's sleeping. The way he contently smiled after Evee fed him. Samuel also had her nose and small ears.  "I can't stop staring at him, he's absolutely gorgeous." Chloe looked up towards the new parents. "You guys did a wonderful job. When will your family arrive?" She looked at Harry.

"They should be here any minute." Harry's eyes adverted towards the clock, which implied that it was nearly one in the afternoon. He knew everyone, but his brother the most, wanted to see Samuel as soon as possible.

"Your grandmother included?" Chloe looked a little scared, she had gotten used to everyone, but The Queen was still someone she would always be impressed by.

"No, she actually said she'd come and visit us at Frogmore House in a couple of days." Harry knew that his grandmother wanted to come to see her new great-grandchild in all quietness and in the meantime visit his grandfather's grave.

Chloe nodded her head, standing up carefully with the little prince in her arms. "I should probably get going, it will be quite crowded here in a few moments." She walked towards Evee, who was still sitting on the edge of her bed. Even though her best friend seemed tired, she could tell that she was grateful for her visit. "As much as I want to take this little sleeping beauty home, I think it's best to return him to his mother instead of having Britain kill me."

Evee chuckled, her eyes turning towards her son and carefully taking him back into her arms. He wasn't bothered whatsoever. "Thank you for coming, Chlo and thank you for the massive balloon." The Duchess her eyes turned towards, the big, blue balloon that read 'It's a boy!'.

The brunette nodded her head, giving Evee a kiss on the cheek and walking towards Harry to do the same. "And you, my little Sammy, I'll see you soon." Chloe talked towards the baby in Evee's hands. "God, I still can't believe it. He's perfect." She sighed one more time, holding back tears and then just turned on her feet to march towards the door, closing it behind her softly.

Silence overtook the room as suddenly both parents locked eyes and tried not to burst out in laughter, afraid to wake up their son. "I feel so bad for Anthony when she gets home." The Duchess spoke, having a silly smile on her face. Her eyes turned towards her son once again, all snuggled up against her chest. She could see Harry in the corner of her eyes moving closer, "She's right though, he's perfect." He spoke softly, kissing his wife's forehead. "I'm so proud of you. Of us."

With her free hand, Evee managed to pull her husband in for a small kiss. She could feel her throat getting raspy as she tried to hold back tears. This was what pure happiness felt like. This was what pure love looked like. They would always be connected, always. She thought she was blissfully happy on her wedding day and god, she had loved Harry then. She loved him deeply still. But this, this was on a whole new level.
