Bonus Chapter: The Airport

Mason's pov

Crap. I wasn't meant to be seen by any of the guys until Upload. It was my surprise to them since we haven't seen each other in years. I thought it would be easy to not be seen by them since London contains so many people and I'm just one person wandering around for a week.

I need to think of something quick to do while Vikk was still looking at me like I wasn't actually here. I tried to turn around to quickly walk away but I was pulled into a hug who I assume was from Vikk.

"It has been to long kid, we've all missed you," Vikk said while burying his head in my shoulder and holding on like this was a dream, "What brings you to London after all this time?" He says and signals for Lachlan to follow us.

"That is a surprise for you and the rest of the guys Mr. Vikk," I say while nervously laughing still trying to find my way out of this.

"How long are you staying here for? I'm sure the other guys would love to see you and catch up with you again. Oh, and this is Lachlan, you probably remember him from something." Vikk says pointing to Lachlan and looking extremely happy to have seen me here.

Since I came here for Upload with April who is arriving later I have no one to say I'm going with and I don't want to tell him that I'm here for Upload because that was meant to be a surprise for them after so long. What to do, What to do? 

"Something on your mind kid?" Lachlan asked, "Vikk seems really excited to see you here today. I haven't seen him smile that big since he started to date Kay." Lachlan and I were a bit behind Vikk and he was oblivious to the conversation that is happening behind him. 

"I wasn't meant to be seen by him here today, I wasn't meant to be seen by any of the guys actually," I told Lachlan while keeping a close eye on Vikk to see if he was listening in on what he and I were talking about. "Hey Vikk, I got to dash, a friend is picking me up from here in a bit and I need to be around the area she asked me to wait in," I explained to Vikk quickly hoping he wouldn't be able to tell it was a lie or try and follow me to the "area". 

"Oh, alright Mason, I hope to see you around before you leave again, give us a call alright? I don't want to not hear from you for years again," Vikk walks over to be and gives me a bear hug, like its the last hug he is going to get from me for a long time. I stand there while Vikk and Lachlan walk to the exit. 

Phew, that was close, now to wait for April and get out of Heathrow.

Today was the day April and I are going to Upload and see the boys again. I'm actually really excited to see them again. Though I'm kinda scared to see them again even though Vikk saw me at the airport and was really excited I'm not sure how the other guys would feel about it. 

We are current in a Uber to the Tobacco Dock on the way to the event and it's going to be interesting there. As we get out of the Uber April, immediately sees Lachlan on the way inside with Vikk and Simon. Vikk looked confused at all of his fans that were screaming his name. That's odd, he never looks at his fans like that. The meet and greet time wasn't for another few hours and we don't want to be seen by them or other people so we are going to eat. 

We went to the closest Nandos to the Dock and ate. Even there it was filled with people going to Upload. It is insane how the guys managed to have this event on every year and it just gets bigger and bigger every year. I'm so proud of them and can't wait to see them again.

Now April and I are in line to meet them, we purposely got there late and may have gotten to the back of the line and they didn't see us when they were walking in. Oops, but then again it could have been strategic considering when they see us they would want to spend the rest of the day with us. So we were standing in the back of the line behind all of the screaming fans and we kept our heads down for a better chance of them not seeing us. One fan after another, each one felt more excited than the last to meet the Sidemen. They really did have a powerful fanbase, even if most of the male viewers treat the females like trash *cough*. 

After about an hour and a half April and I were almost to the front. I'm kinda scared of what will happen when they see us, it's too late to back out now, there is only one person left in front of us and I can see the smiles on their faces, the smiles that I have missed so much within these years. 

It was our turn to go and "meet them" April went up first while I trailed slowly behind her with my head down. "Hi, I'm April and it's really nice to meet you guys!" April said before going to hug Simon first. He was always her Tall Bean. 

"It's nice to meet you too April, who is your friend sneaking behind you?" Harry said while slowly walking up to me.

"Actually you might know me, Harry," I said while looking up and actually talking. I looked at all of them calmly. They all looked at me shockingly, even Simon who was still hugging April. 

"Mason! Is that really you?" Josh said while quickly walking up to me. I nodded. "It's great to see you again! You've grown so much and we haven't caught up yet or talked in so long or anything we need to go get lunch or dinner together or something consider-" Josh was cut off by me but not before he could take me into a giant bear hug.

"Okay Josh I get it we haven't seen each other for a long time and you want to catch up and stuff but I can't Breathe," I said and Josh let me go but only for a sec before Vikk attacks me along with Tobi and everyone else. "Aww guys I missed you too but this was meant to be a quick meet and you guys have other things to do considering this is your event." I can see April in the corner of my eye, she looked like she was about to cry from ho sentimental this is.

"But we don't want to let go in case you leave again. We missed you too much Mase," JJ said trying to hug me tighter but ended up hugging Vikk more than me. "You can follow us around all day and then go out and eat with us right? Just like the old days." 

"Yeah!" Everyone else said while April and I looked down a bit.

"I can't follow you guys around all day, but we can go to dinner," I said while they all let go of me. "I don't want us to be the reason that you are late to everything or cause beef because I came as a fan and not as staff or something." I pointed to April and finished. 

"That's true I guess but still we want to make the most out of the time you are here considering who knows the next time we are going to see each other again," Ethan said while grabbing his sharpie to sign the poster April brought and handing it to Harry to sign as well. 

"Okay so meet after the event to go and eat?" Simon said looking quite happy.

We all nodded, took a few photos, laughed a bit and then we all had to go our separate ways to continue with the event. April and I walked around the event bought a few things, played some old school games, and watched a few panels. Everyone else went on to do more meet and greets, play games with fans, take thousands of photos, and did panels. Today was a good day, and now it's time for dinner.

We agreed to go to the Wagamama closest to the tower where Ethan, Harry, and Tobi live. (DO NOT GO TO THERE IN REAL LIFE TO SEE THEM THAT IS A HUGE INVASION OF PRIVACY AND WEIRD). There we all ate some good food, have great banter, we all caught up with each other, we even got one of the people working there to take a selfie with all of us. Today was a good day, I got to see the smiles that I needed to see for so long, the true smiles that I have missed, but most of all I got to hang out with my favorite group of all time just like the good old days.
