10 Years Later

*takes place when you and Dan are kids*
Your POV:
"Mom can I go see if Dan can play?" Your seven year old self asked your mother. "Yes of course." She replied. Dan was your next door neighbour and has been your entire life. You walked across the lawn and up to his front door. You knocked three times before his mom answered holding his little brother. "Hi sweetheart." She said kindly. "Hi Mrs. Howell, is Dan home?" You asked politely. "Yea he's up in his room. Why don't you go check on him for me?" She suggested smiling warmly. You nodded quickly and bolted up the steps to your best friends room.

"Dan can I come in?" You asked from behind the door. "Yea." He yelled back. You slowly creaked open the door and step in cautiously. "Do you want to go outside?" You asked awkwardly. "No I actually have something I need to tell you." He said nervously. You stepped over to his desk and sat down on the chair. You looked at him and nodded, signalling him to continue talking. "Well you see, I know we're only seven but I think I like you. You're really pretty and nice and you always make me happy when I'm sad. I just needed to tell you." He said on the verge of tears. "This is better than I thought." You replied. He looked at you with a confused face. "I like you too you bum." You said with a duh tone. "Wait really??" He asked excitedly. You nodded frantically and flung your arms around him. "Wanna go swimming?" He suggested. "Lemme go grab my suit." You replied.

"Dan what's the answer to number five?" You asked peering over his work. "Hey no cheating." He scolded you cheekily. "Cmon Dan. I'll give you a kiss." You bribed puckering your lips. "You're such a dork. But the answer is 2,560." He replied smirking. You leaned in to kiss him when his mom walked in. "Oh sorry am I interrupting?" She asked covering her eyes. "Yes you are. What do you need?" Dan asked blushing. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay. I'm leaving now." She said backing away from the door. "Now where were we?" You asked smashing your lips to his.
