All I could do was run. And cry.

He really doesn't remember me...

Instead of heading back to my apartment, I find a quiet park to take a walk. After walking for a few minutes, I notice Rose looking towards the distance.

"Rose..." I say when as I approach her.

Rose keeps looking at the distance. "Hello, Thayer."

I sigh. "Have you ever... had a boyfriend?"

"Yeah..." Rose sighs.

I started crying again. "You know that feeling... when you don't know where's the hope in life... and i don't even know if I can make it till tomorrow..."

Rose turns to look at me. "That's not how it works. You shouldn't be worrying about making it till tomorrow, and all that crap. You're not dead yet, which means, whatever you're going through, you can still put up with it. You haven't emotionally collapsed to death yet. Why not try to change it so that you can have hope in life, instead of waiting to collapse?"

I just look at Rose. She gives me a hug and comforts me a bit more.

"I think I'm gonna head back to my apartment... " I pull away from the hug. "Do you mind giving me a ride in the... um.... uh... oh! The car!"

Rose stares at me awkwardly but than nods.

Weeks and weeks pass, and... I've experienced a phase that no one should've experienced - depression. My soulmate, angel, best friend, true love... he forgot me. It feels like the sun just disappeared, leaving me in darkness for eternity. Scars are found on my skin and in my heart, but I've been slowing getting used to it.

"Thayer..." Rose was always by side. If I was never friends with her, I would've been dead. "I want you to meet someone."

Rose stands up and leaves, as a figure sits down. Daniel???

"Hi Daniel..."

"Thayer, I need to tell you something."

I nod.

"After loosing his memory, Thomas talked about something about being a commander in the Thirty Year War. But as we talked about it less, his memory of being in that war faded away. But maybe... if you talked to him about it a lot, he can remember some things again."

I just look at Daniel in shock. "Really?"

"You never know unless you try. Come on Thayer. You can't expect anything to happen without actual legitimate action." Daniel says.

"Alright..." I text Thomas to meet at the coffee shop again.

Later, Thomas comes in the shop. "Hi Thayer! It's been a while."

"Yeah... Um... so do you mind talking to me more about the war?"

Thomas's expression changes. "Is that the only thing you would talk about when we are hanging out?"

Oh crap... "What? No! I-"

"I have work, you know. I'll see you at the meeting." Thomas gets up, and leaves. Leaving me drowning in hopelessness.
