Chapter 13.

Thomas and I rush to the emergency room. When we arrived, Tris was literally crying her soul out, and even DANIEL was crying.

"Guys... What happened?" I asked.

Daniel cleared his throat. "Rose... passed away...."

No.

This isn't the truth.

Rose is still alive.

She's waiting for Thomas and I.

SHE PROMISED US THAT SHE'D WAIT FOR US.

"STOP LYING TO ME!!!" I scream with tears. "WHERE IS ROSE!?????"

"She's dead..." Tris says, sobbing.

I cry into Thomas's shoulder, who is also tearing up. Out of everyone, ROSE????

"A-hem." A nurse walks in. "I'm really sorry about her... She seemed like a great person. Here," She hands me an envelope. "She left this for you guys." The nurse exits, as everyone sprints to me.

"I don't think I can read this without choking and crying," I say, my voice shaking.

"None of us can..." Thomas says.

"I'll give it a try," Daniel says. "Alright."

Dear Thomas, Thayer, Daniel, Chivon, and Tris,

I'm sorry to just leave you guys in this cruel world, but I did not have a choice. After the night of that car accident, I found out that I have one year to live. I requested the nurses, doctors, and surgeons to not tell you guys about it. I think you guys noticed a change in my attitude and personality afterwards. That was because I want to live this last year differently. Instead of being a hopeless moron, I want to be someone people enjoy being around and find true happiness. So Thomas, thank you for reminding that should keep on doing music. Daniel, thanks for all the patience you've had with me and the great advices you've given me. Tris, thank you for all the great adventures you've taken me on. Chivon, I only rejected you because I don't want you to suffer on this day. Thank you for bringing me light when I was in the darkness. And finally Thayer, thanks for being the best friend in the world and adding awesomeness to my life. I hope I left an impression and I could be part of your memories. Thank you all for being a huge part of my life and impacting my life in suck great ways. I just ask for one thing. Please live life with the mindset I lived with for the last year of life. I love all of you guys. Sincerely, Rose

By the time Daniel finished, his voice was shaking. Tris and I were hugging and sobbing, and Thomas leaned against the wall and just cried.

On the funeral, everyone was deeply impacted. Rose brought so much success to our business, she always had a great ear to listen about anything, and her band is actually pretty famous in America. When I saw her for one last time, laying in the coffin, I wish time could just reset again. I held her cold hand and whispered goodbye.

Rose, you are someone none of us would forget.

Thomas and I look at each other and smile. "Well, it's a long story."

"It's okay, I'm done with homework and I'm gonna FaceTime Cosmo in 10 minutes, so I have time."

"Alright," I say. "Before I start, you must know that you are named after an extremely smart and talented person who got your parents together."

"And," Thomas looks at me, "our love is Timeless."
