Chapter 13

"Jareds POV"
It's 8am and I'm laying here watching Brooke sleep and am wondering how anyone could be so perfect. She looks so peaceful when she's asleep and so beautiful. Oh and her scent is amazing she smells like roses and something like candy almost. As I'm watching her she starts to stir in her sleep and then her eyes open to reveal those beautiful emerald eyes I've grown to love. I smile at her and she smiles back.
"Good morning brooke."

"Good morning Jared,"she smiles.

"What would you like for breakfast?"

"Umm some ham and eggs that sounds wonderful with some toast and orange juice pretty please?"

"Anything for you dear I'll be downstairs. I'll let you get dressed and what not. Also today I have to go to work again but after I want to take you somewhere if that's okay ?"

"Yes that's fine sounds fun,"she grins at me and gets out of bed to start getting herself dressed.

I go downstairs and start cooking the ham and while I'm doing so I turn on the stereo to listen to some music and start singing along to the song photograph by Ed Sheeran. After the song is over I hear clapping behind me and quickly turn to see Brooke beaming at me.

"That was amazing Jared I didn't know you could sing. There's actually a lot I don't know about you,"she laughs.

"Thank you and yea I haven't had many people know my talent you only knew because I was to focused on the music to stop myself from singing."

"Why don't you let people know?"

"Because I just want to keep it to myself."

"Ah I see I'm the same way ."

"How so??"

"Umm well let's see I sing a little too and I taught myself to play the guitar and the cello but neither my friends nor parents knew I was able to do any of that. "

"Wow that's amazing Brooke." I can't believe this girl is so talented.

"Thank you!"

"Anytime so how do you want your eggs cooked??"

"Hmmm scrambled please oh and when you're mixing them could you add a little bit of milk to them ?"

"Yes but may I ask why?"

"Because it makes the eggs fluffier and they taste amazing that way."

"Okie dokie there brokie."

"Did you really just call me brokie??"she says as she laughs.

"Yes yes I did," I laugh back.

"Fine Jerry!"

"Eww I hate that don't call me that again."

"As long as you don't call me brokie again."

"Deal.....brokie, just kidding I'm done I promise." I laugh so hard because she's trying so hard to be mad at me but it isn't working because it's hard to be scared of a girl who's only 5'3"when I'm 6'4".

"Listen here mister call me that again and I'll kick you where the sun doesn't shine.!"

"Well the sun can't shine on me at all unless I wear this ring so I guess without the ring you'd kick me everywhere missy."

"Omg you had to get technical."
She rolls her eyes at me but soon smiles.

"Yes yes I do and your breakfast is ready so sit down and eat." She does just that as I leave to go get ready for my long day at the hospital. When I'm done I walk back down stairs and see she's cleaned the dishes and is sitting on the couch reading with a light sound of music playing in the background.

"Bye Brooke I'll be back in about 8 hours." She says bye back and I rush out the door cause it's 8:45 and I have to be at work by 9:15. I make it to work 2 minutes before it will read I'm late on the machine where I clock in.
"Good morning Jared."

"Morning steph how's today looking?"

"Well it looks to me like we might be able to go home early !"

"Great!! Where you need me to go boss?"

"I need you to take care of patients in the rooms 107 and 231. Then after that you're free to go as long as nothing goes wrong."

"Okay sounds great."

I go to each rooms like I need to and do the same old same old and then check the time and it reads 4:00. Wow that's great time only one hour early then when I'd actually go home. I clock out and head home . I walk through the door to see Brooke still on the couch reading and I laugh to myself. She only looks up to see I'm home and smiles then goes back to reading. I see that she's really into the book so I go upstairs to change out of my scrubs and to also get the hospital smell off my body. When I come back down stairs I head to the kitchen and Brooke is there getting a glass of water and I get a thing of blood out and drink it. She cringes a little at the fact that I'm drinking it in front of her but soon relaxes to the idea.

"So where did you want to take me Jared?"

"Well there's an amusement park about 20 minutes from here would you like to go to it ??"

"Heck to the yes I love amusement parks let me fix myself."

I laugh and wait for her to change and when she's done we head out the door and get in the car.

"You look nice Brooke", I say as I see she has leggings and an olive green shirt on with flats and her hair pulled up into a bun.

"Thank you!" The rest of the drive is silent and soon we are at the park and Brooke just can't wait to get out of the car because before I can process what she's thinking she jumps out of the car and runs toward the ticket booth and I laugh and can't help but think man this girl is going to be the death of me or should I say she's going to be the life to my death.
