Chapter 9

"Jareds POV"

"How long has she been here Jared?"

"She's only been her for 3 days Lucy."

"Why in the world would you bring a human to your house ?? Does her family even know she's here with you?? I mean yea she's your mate and all but if they don't know that's kidnapping!"

"Cool it Lucy and that's exactly why I brought her here because she's my mate and also because her family and friends past away due to a car accident she was in with them. I saved her by having her drink my venom."

"Jared what about other family members who are probably wondering where she's at ??"

"I put in a false death so no one from her family knows she's alive."

"Jared you can't do that !!"

"I wasn't thinking when I did it .All I was thinking is that I need her to myself."

"Are you going to tell her what you did ??"

"If she asks about any other family members maybe but she hasn't really brought up the issue of her family so it makes me think she doesn't have any other family."

"Okay but if she does you need to tell her."

"I will Lucy I'm not dumb. Also when I tell you no I mean no . It does not give you permission to show up my house a day early than what you planned."

"I'm sorry I just missed my little brother."

"I'm not your brother and never will be not after what you did to mom and dad."

"Jared they were going to kill me."

"Oh like I haven't heard that one before, "I roll my eyes at her.

"I'm serious they found out about me and tried killing me while I was making them lunch like they asked."

"I don't know if I can believe you."

"That's your decision I'm not going to push the issue any further and I'm going to leave but I'll be back every 3 weeks to check on you and that....girl of yours. Which by the way she is pure so I don't see me having any issues with her."

"Okay Lucy bye."

I walk her to the door and watch her leave and turn around to see a very angry Brooke staring right at me.

"When were you going to tell me you faked my death ??"

"I'm sorry Brooke I wasn't thinking ."

"Yea you're right you weren't thinking and I wasn't thinking when I decided to live with you!!"

"Brooke if you want to leave you can. I'll pay for you to go back to the rest of your family."

"Ha that's golden I have no other family it was just me and my parents and neither one of them had siblings."

"Then why are you so mad??"

"Because why wouldn't you say oh hey by the way I faked your death so don't bother trying to get ahold of anyone your close with because they'll think it's a joke!"

"Okay you have a point there from now on I'll tell you everything that has to deal with you. Okay?"

"Okay. I really want to know what's up with this whole mate thing but Imma save that for tomorrow cause I've had enough of this day already."

"Fair enough. Do you want to go see a movie I heard La La Land is really good?"

"Yea sure let me get ready."

She heads up stairs and I just wait for her because I'm already in decent clothing. I wait here for about 20 mins and Brooke walks down stairs is a black flowy skirt and a red polka dotted blouse with black flats and her hair is down and left natural. She's so beautiful it's insane.  I'm snapped out of my thoughts when she says,"enjoying the view?"

"Yea it's quite lovely I think I'll just watch you instead."

"That's a little weird so how about no," she laughs.

So we leave the house and go watch the movie which is fantastic . The time is about 5pm so I ask Brooke if she wants to go to cheddars.

"Yes please I love that place and especially their chicken!"

We get to cheddars and I just order a water and she gets her chicken and a water with lemon. We sit there and talk about her family and the memories she's had with them and talk about our favorite colors which hers is purple and  I tell her mine is red. We realize that we're the only ones left in the restaurant and decide it's time to go. On the way home I keep stealing glances at Brooke.

"Why do you keep looking at me?"

"Because you're gorgeous and I can't get enough of you."

"Jared you've known me for 3 days don't start pulling that crap or I'll leave ."

"Yes ma'am!"

"Trust me I think you're cute too but I'm not ready for a relationship and kinda don't really want one at the moment because of my ex."

"What did he do?"

"Well I used to have this friend and we were locked at the hip and so I end up getting a boyfriend and we're going strong until I come home to see him and my "best friend" lip locking on my couch. I scream at them and I even end up throwing a vase at Zach who is my ex's head . Too bad I missed." 

She starts laughing and then it soon turns into crying.

"Umm Brooke we're home and believe me when I say this I would never hurt you like that."

"Okay and I feel like you wouldn't but I don't know anymore."

With that she gets out of the car and walks up to the front door and waits for me to come unlock the door. She doesn't say a word to me when we get in the house all she does is take off her shoes and sprints upstairs and closes the door. A couple hours pass and I here her screaming in her sleep. I run up the steps and go into the room and wake her up.
"Brooke it's okay you're fine."

"Can you please stay with me that dream was terrible and no I don't want to talk about it"

"Yes of course."

"Thank you Jared."
She drifts off again and falls asleep in my arms. Oh how I wish everyday could be like this. Just this part mainly where she falls asleep in my arms. Man I need to win this girl over.
