Chapter 18

After Jared left I got up and went downstairs. I go and sit at the counter of the kitchen and play around on my phone but then I hear a loud crash upstairs and I jump. I go upstairs but as I walk past the bathroom I get pulled in and my screams get muffled. I bite the guys hand and he shouts and let's me go and I quickly press the call button to get Jared. I don't have to wait long and he's coming up the steps and the guy who grabbed me grabs me again and I scream and Jared busts through the door.
"Kevin?"
"Jared? What are you doing here?"
"Why are you trying to take my girlfriend?"
"She's with you? Sorry bro I was starving and I could smell her from a mile away."

I stand there between them dumbfounded that Jared knew this guy.
"Yea she's with me and you're lucky I know you or you would've been dead."
"Umm Jared how do you know this guy?"
"He's my brother."
"What?!? I thought you only had a sister?!?"
"Nope Kevin here is my little brother."
"Wow. I've never been so confused in my life."
"How about we get out of this bathroom and Jared and I explain everything downstairs?"
"Sure I guess."
Kevin walks past me and Jared and Jared gets ready to follow but I hold him back.
"What is it Brooke?"
"You called me your girlfriend,why?"
"Ummm well if you want to be you can it umm just you know..."
I hush him up by giving him a small kiss.
"Jared I'd love to be your girlfriend."
He smiles so hard I swear his mouth was going to fall off and I laugh.
"Great now let's go talk to Kevin so I can help confuse you less."
So we walk downstairs and make our way to the kitchen and I see Lucy and Kevin talking to one another and then they turn and look at me and Jared and they grin.
"There's the love birds," Lucy says.
"Hush it Luce," Jared says as he laughs at her.
"So is anyone going to tell me about Kevin being your guy's brother?"
"Yep come have a seat," Kevin states.
They explain everything to me from Kevin running away from home when he was 22 and being turned by a guy with the name of Jase who he is now best friends with, to the fact that I'm dating a 674 year old man.
"So that's pretty much it and I'm also sorry for almost killing you I was just really hungry."
"It's fine Kevin you're welcome to have something out of the fridge."
"I'm good I have to go meet Jase soon."
"Okay."
"Be carful brother," Jared says.
"Always Jared," he smiles.
Once Kevin left I went upstairs and took a shower and got ready to hopefully go out with Jared even though it was getting kinda late, so I put on a cute summer dress and went to talk to Jared.
"Jared can we go sight seeing?" 
"It's pretty late how about tomorrow ?"
"Okay but can we at least go get dinner?"
"Yea sure,hey Luce you want to go out with me and Brooke?"
"Yea when?"
"As soon as I get ready."
"So 20 minutes??"
"Yea somewhere around there."
"Okie dokie."
So here I am now lonely Brooke waiting for her boyfriend an hour later. I shout up the stairs,"I thought the guy was supposed to wait on the girl not the other way around?"
"Oh hush it I'll be down in a minute," Jared laughs.
He was right though in an exact minute Lucy and Jared walked downstairs.
"Wow. I love your dress Brooke!"
"Thanks Lucy I love yours too!!"
"Guys you can stop complementing me I know I look good,"Jared laughs.
"Jared you're so full of it," I laugh.
"Full of what??"
"Omg let's go."

"Time skip"

So we arrive at a pub and I get fish and chips while Jared and Lucy get a pint.
"I didn't know vamps could drink??"
"Oh there's a lot of things you don't know vamps can do," Jared winks.
"Eww Jared stop you're gross," I laugh.
"Hey Brooke what were your parents like?"
"Umm well Lucy ...they were great honestly. They always made sure I had what I needed and best of all they loved me."
"I wish I would've had that."
"Look at you though you may have some flaws but I think you turned out just fine."
"Thanks Brooke it's nice to hear that."
"You're welcome."
Before I can say anything else someone shouts,
"Everyone get out!!"
Jared sees someone and I turn to see Lucy was already out the door and Jared all of a sudden picks me up and he runs as fast he can using his speediness leaving the car at the restaurant and we make it home in 3 minutes tops.
As we walk into the house Lucy says , "Did you see who that was?"
"Yes."
"Who did you guys see??"
"Brian." They both say at the same time .
Who is Brian and why do they look so scared of him?
