These last few days have been essentially the same, get up, work, hand a few stuffed animals to people who find accomplishment in throwing a few balls and leave. When you're at school you always think "Gosh I can't wait to start working and making my own money" but work is just as boring at school, but at least you're getting paid for it. I am actually going to college this september though, that was also partly why we moved here. I'm genuinely looking forward to it but it's been the last thing on my mind lately. You're never officially a college student until you go to a party with those plastic red cups that eventually end up all over campus.

My shift has ended and I close the stall and pick up my stuff and get ready to walk home, on the way out I see Chloe and wave to her but she's too far away and I'm too lazy to walk over and say hi, I'll see her tomorrow anyway. I see her everyday. She's proven herself to be a real amazing person, she's like a big sister to me regardless if we've known eachother for about two weeks. If she found out about what happened with Harry and me I would never hear the end of it, the little voice in my head hasn't even stopped ranting on about it. I haven't seen Harry though, neither I want to. He's probably out getting stoned somewhere running away from his responsibilities, he's the most immature 20 year old ever, he acts like some stupid 16 year old.

My house isn't far from the park so it really isn't a hastle to walk but I always get a pit paranoid crossing this one house with a huge rotweiler, he always growls at me and the only thing protecting me is a little wooden fence. Just as I cross the animals house, without warning I feel a tap on my shoulder and I jump and give a small screech. I turn around to see it's Charlie.

"You almost gave me a heart attack" Everyone is always making me jump.

"Sorry, I didn't see you after the party. What happened?" Wait. Doesn't he know? Something like that would be very hard to keep quiet about, if I even heard a few voices of some Natalie being in the bathroom with someone surely everyone must have heard about the girl passed out from her drink being spiked. Who could even do such a thing? I decide not to tell him.

"Oh nothing, I just left a bit earlier. Sorry if I didn't say bye. I'm also sorry for Harry and I infront of you"

"Haha don't be silly it's fine. You going home now or what?" he asks, both hands in the pockets of his jeans,

"Nope I was walking to my second job as a hooker" Usually when I decide to be humorous nobody laughs, especially when I was in school. I've always been really awkward and I think people used to think I was weird so no one laughed, but Charlie does.

"Listen, I was going to this little bar down town, do you wanna come with me?" he smiles "As friends, of course"

"Yeah sure" I didn't even hesitate. I have nothing else to do and it'll be nice to escape from the same routine. I was probably going to go home, put my pyjamas on and eat chips as I watch Supernatural. Charlie is awesome anyway.

"Cool, my car is just down there. I mean, we could walk but since it's already there" he points with his thumb behind past his shoulder "We can have a drink or two and just talk, I can drop you off whenever you want"

"I don't think I'm going to have a drink tonight" To be honest I don't think I'm going to have a drink ever again.

"Oh" he gives me a confused expression.

"Oh no no no! I didn't mean it like that! Of course I want to go with you but I'll just have a coke or something" I smile, I think I hurt his feelings there for a moment.

I'm still in my shirt from the theme park without a single trace of make up on my face and I probably look like crap but I don't feel the need to impress Charlie, he's my friend.
