-LILAH POV-
I lock the front door and thurst the keys in my bag, from what I remember the walk to the bar isn't too far from here. Although when I walked back it seemed longer when I was practically carrying double my body weight. As I'm walking I hear the bass of a beat. Somebody must be having a party and as I continue to walk it gets louder and louder. As I get closer I see a house which is cleary the source of the noise and the fun, there's a few people outside the house and I get a bit intimidated walking by alone but I try to keep a high head but suddenly I hear my name called.
"Lilah!" I stop in my tracks and turn my head but I don't see who's calling me, but then I see a guy waving to get my attention. Who's that? The person leaves the little group of people he was standing with and walks across the lawn over to me, wait. That's Robbie, my confusion disappears. "Hey, where are you going?"
"Nowhere, just gonna chill with friends" I've only "hung out" with Robbie once at the hang out and we didn't really talk at all so I find it really weird that he actually recognises and remembers my face, let alone my name.
"Well, my friend is having a huge party if you wanna come later" I did not hold back my awkward reaction but he seemed a bit too drunk to notice or care.
"Er, sure. I really gotta get going but I'll see you around yeah?" I walk away as quickly as possible. That was the politest way I could think of to leave but I don't think he'll remember anyway so it's okay.
After a shorter walk than I anticipated, along with getting lost and a bit worried I finally arrived at the bar. I look around the crowded room and spot a few guys on stage fixing up the microphones and tuning their instruments. I get the feeling something isn't right.
"Excuse me, have you seen Charlie anywhere?" I ask the guy fixing the mic stand. He is incredibly tall and I'm not sure if it's the stage or him but it makes me feel like a little girl. He doesn't look very unreserved anyway.
"He's outside" he nods his head to the door on the opposite side of the room. I thank the guy but he doesn't say anything back, so I walk over to the door that leads to some metal stairs and I see Charlie down below pacing and on the phone. I call his name and walk down.
"Charlie" he continues pacing and ignores me "Charlie! Jesus Christ!" I grab the back of his shirt and he stops but he tries dialling his phone again. "Hey what are you-" he puts his finger to his mouth and shushes me.
"Where the fuck are you man?" he shouts through the speaker "Well, no. Dude you said you'd be here" he rolls his eyes and huffs. "You. said. You'd. Be. Here. I-" he removes the phone from his ear and looks at the screen. "The fucker hung up on me"
"What's going on?" I ask, genuinely worried. I've always seen Charlie mellow and happy and seeing him cross is very out of the blue. His hair is messy and I see why after he starts fisting it trying to control his anger.
"My brother isn't coming, he's fucking bailed on us to go to some party. I swear to god I..." He exhales.
"Funny you say that, on the way here I walked by a house that was having a huge party. Maybe he's there, I know Robbie is" Charlie's eyes widen.
"Robbie is my brother"
"Wait, what?" I never knew this, how come he never mentioned it to me when we all hung out? Although, looking at them they do look alike.
"You didn't know?" he arches an eyebrow at me.
"No. Nobody told me, how was I supposed to know?"
"Jesus Christ Lilah you can't be..." he fists his hair again.
"Don't take this out on me! This isn't my fault, if you don't want me here I can leave" I defend myself, I don't like this side of him and I want to grab him by his shoulders and just tell him to calm down.
