Hijikata Toushiro x Reader

"H-hijikata-kun don't eat so fast!" You told to the man devouring the pork katsudon that you just made. Well, Hijikata Toshiro, Shinsengumi's Demon Vice Commander is your long time bestfriend. And... apparently he's here in your house trying to get free lunch.

"Thish ish the besh." He spoke while still eating. You just silently watched him as he ate. You stared at his handsome face. Though he may look scary sometimes, you, of all people know that he is a very good guy. You admired how his black hair is always clean, and how cool he look whenever he's wearing his uniform and even with his normal clothes. You admire him, even though you think, he'll only see you as his friend.

"AHHH!!! THAT WAS THE BEST MEAL I HAD!" he exclaimed.

You laughed. "Wow, Hijikata-kun you only used half a bottle of mayonnaise today." You said as you cleaned the table. Usually he'd use three mayonnaise bottles whenever he is eating but somehow these past few days it seems he's not too fond of it.

"Well, you can cook delicious food so just half a bottle is enough." He said coolly as he lit his cigarette.

You blushed at his statement and you immediately excused yourself and went to the kitchen.

"AHHHHH!!!" you screamed.

Why am I inlove with that mayonnaise obsessed guy?!

Why can't I just forget him?

He only sees me as a friend anyway.

You think it'll be better if you just stay being friends with him. Besides, it seems he doesn't have any interest in you.

Damn the guy only thinks about mayonnaise all day!

"Y/N!"

"Yes? Hijikata-kun?"

"I'll go back to the HQ now. Else the gorilla might be back pestering megane's (glasses) sister again." He said.

"Take care then." You said warmly then he waved goodbye.

"Thanks for the food. I'll be back again tomorrow ne?" He coyingly said.

You blushed.

In this situation were just like a married couple

I smile at you as your friend. But is this enough?

No! Y/N! I won't give up. Not until I tell him my feelings and hear what he thinks about me...

"H-hijikata-kun I-I have something to tell you." You stammered.

'Damn, I can't do it!' You thought. 'I can't say I love him!'

"What is it Y/N?" Hijikata asked.
"I-I r-really l---"

*BANG!*

you were suddenly interrupted with a loud noise and a flash of light and when you opened your eyes...

"H-hijikata-kun!" You exclaimed as you looked at Hijikata now lying on the floor unconscious.

"Oi! Hijikata-kun! Kondo-san asked me to give this to you." Okita suddenly appeared holding a gun.

"Oh? Hi Y/N-chan. Please let me talk to Hijikata-kun for a moment." He said and you only managed to nod. He smiled for a second but then turned into something with a dark aura as he faced Hijikata.
