Days have passed and still no signal of them. Our soldiers have been looking for them day and night and so did I and Peter, until Susan forced us to stay in the castle by preventing the guards of letting us out.
Sleep was now a non-existent phrase in my dictionary, and so was eating. I could not get appetite when everything I though about was Vanessa, I miss having her murmuring around and smiling but most of all I miss her grumpiness and sarcastic comments.
"C'mon you gotta let me go out, I need to go out" I told the guard rubbing the dark circles around my eyes
"I'm sorry my King, I'm afraid I have orders to keep you in the castle"
"I'm the King, I'm the one who gives the orders around" I almost yelled
"I'm sorry my lord, I can't do anything about it" he lowered his head
"IF YOU WERE SORRY YOU WOULD LET ME GET OUT" I yelled riled up
"Please my king, calm down , I'm just following orders"
"then I order you to let me get out, now!"
"I can't do that your highness "
I grumbled "it's useless, there must be a rock inside that thing you call an head" I turned my backs to him and went back to the castle.
It was the third time that day I was begging him to let me go out, but he just refuses to do so, I have to do something though.
But when I was about to in the main doors of the castle a sleigh was sighted in the very end of the woods, right in the beggining of the village below the castle. Maybe it was her ,was the first though that went through my head ,which made me run back to the gates
"OPEN THIS FUCKERS, I THINK IT'S HER" I pointed to the sleigh and the guard rushed to open the gates thinking it was Vanessa and Valerie who were inside of it
The sleigh entered the castle and out of it exited Valerie ,she looked tired and her head was facing the head, and, when I was expecting Vanessa to get out, the sleigh went off again leaving
"where is she?" I asked worried , hoping nothing bad had happened to her
"the White Witch kept her"she lowered her head to look at her hands
"why?" I frowned "why did she kept her?"
"I-I don't know"
"what do you mean you don't know?"
"I don't know why she kept her Edmund, she simply did"
"you have to tell me where she is, we need to go back and save her""we can't"
"Are you crazy? Of course we can and we will"
"She doesn't want to"
"oh c'mon, how can she not?"
"She made me promise I would tell you all to worry about the battle that is about to happen and don't worry about her because she's alright, the Witch still needs her"
"What battle? And she needs her for what?" I asked
"I-I don't know, this was the only thing she said to me, nothing else" she shrugged
"Just tell me she's fine"
"Well..." she looked me in the eyes "to be honest, she promised me she would be alright, but she didn't look so fine when I left, she was somehow more cold and her skin was so pale it looked almost white, and when I last hugged her she gave me this shiver for it was almost like touching snow"
