His destiny

I walked through the cold hallways of the castle, it was silence since it was probably 2 Am ,too soon to see a soul

"Maybe sleeping isn't your forte, but shouldn't you be doing it?" I heard a chuckle behind me

"What about you miss Vanessa, shouldn't you also be sleeping?" I asked turning to the wavy haired brunette behind me

"couldn't sleep" she smiled cheekily

"Nervous?"

"About what?" She frowned and looked at the great view in front of us, though everything was frozen but it was still beautiful, the beauty in evil

"About tomorrow, saving your father won't be easy" I leaned in the parapet as she joined me

"I know, but I'm confident ,I mean we have the best sword fighter in Narnia" she turned to the frozen plants in the garden and glanced at me through the corner of her eyes

"Well you're right this must be easy as stealing a toy from a child" I joked

"I hope so..." She murmured "let's just review the plan, maybe I'll get tired easily"

"I think we should go drink a nice and warm tea to sleep, don't bother yourself with that, forget it for tonight and tomorrow we can talk about this again if you want to" I smiled reassuringly as she nodded "c'mon freckles" I guided her to the kitchen

Something was running from one side to the other of the room above us and I knew exactly who it was, but I was hoping Peter would stop him or control him before I had to go upstairs and control him myself.

"What's this?" She asked sipping on her tea

"Don't worry it must be rats"

"Like mister reepicheep?" She asked innocently and I chuckled

"No, like real world rats, the ones that don't talk and are short as the palm of my hands, but don't be afraid it's just up stares"

"I'm not afraid of rats..." She shrugged

"Then let's go see the rat up stares" I got up doubting she wasn't afraid

"You're not gonna kill him are you?" She looked scared

"Of course not, it's an innocent animal, I'll just free him, I only need you to catch it and I'll do the rest" I smirked

"Sure..." She got up too and walked to the door as I frowned

"So you're not afraid?" I asked suspiciously

"I told you I wasn't" she squinted her eyes

"Oh you will be afraid of this big rat, believe me" I smiled and guided her to the room up stares

We entered the liked like king room, the toys laying on the ground almost all broken, of course he had to destroy all of them will he ever learn how to play without  braking things?
I looked around the room looking for him but I saw no one

"Do you have a kid around the castle?" She asked before I saw his little hand picking underneath the bed

"No, it's a big bald rat" I smiled and made the shush sign with my finger tip army crawling to the bed "and there he is..." I yelled as I picked his leg and dragged him from under the bed

"It surely looks like a kid" she murmured

"I'm a man, I'm a grown up man" he got up and walked to Vanessa kissing the back of her hands flirtatious

"I can see that" she smirked "so what's the big man name if I may ask?"

"Oscar, my name is oscar, amazed to meet you" he smiled "and what's your name?"
