This month has been absolutely crazy. For starters I tried out for the talent show and got accepted. Brady and Ava started dating. The new girl at our school joined our little friend group and I think Jason has a little crush on Maddie. Maddie is shy and quiet, probably one of the sweetest people that I know. She has light brown hair with greenish blue eyes that I envy and an olive skin, that I envy.

Oh, yeah did I mention that Jake asked me out on a date. Well he did and I'm kinda freaking out. The date is tonight and he told me to meet him at the cliff that he took me to when I told him my past. I was kinda surprised he decided to take me there. Of course that's where I spilled all of my past some things that even Ava, Emma, and Maddie doesn't even know. Now that I think about it, it is kinda of special to me, but for some reason I have a bad feeling about this date and I don't know why. I have a hard time trusting guys after what Alec did to me.

"What if Jake does the same thing to me." I murmur to myself.

Jake is not like that, he started out a little moody, irritable, but over the past couple months he's been great funny, nice; He did have some moments along the way, but put those aside and he was great. And all the nights that he has spent the night with me, he seemed vulnerable and small. Nothing like the guy who had mood swings, and is labeled 'badboy' at school just because he likes to keep to himself and is kind of intimidating.

"Ohhhhh, Sophia your crew is ready, to get you ready for your date," Ava sings from downstairs, bringing me out of my thoughts.

They all Sashay into my room, setting down all the stuff that they need to torture me with.

"Ok, Soph," Em says clapping.

"I think we should start with the hair." Em suggest, picking up a lock of my brown hair.

"No, we need to start with the makeup," Ava says in a 'duh' tone.

"Why in the world would we start with makeup, Ava?" Em says rolling her eyes.

"How bout we start with the outfit," Maddie suggests in a hopeful tone. Both of them whip to her.

"No!" They yell in unison, turning to face each other again. The bickering between becomes the only thing you can hear.

"Will you guys stop!" I yell in an annoyed tone.

"Emma is going to do my hair, while Ava does my makeup, and while both of them are doing that Maddie will pick out my outfit." I say in a finalized tone. Maddie nods and makes her way over to my closet, while Em starts to heat up the curling iron and Ava lays out all of the different makeup items that she needs.

Ava is finishing off my makeup, when Em finally finishes my hair. Maddie has been sitting on her phone chatting with me because she picked out my outfit a long time ago.

"Done!" Ava chirps, looking at me with a grin. I look in the mirror and see a beautiful girl, with hair curled to perfection and just enough makeup to make her features stand out, but not looking like a cake face.

I hug all of the girls and bounce to my bed, picking up the outfit that Maddie has laid out for me and taking it to the bathroom.

I walk out of the bathroom showing the girls my outfit. They all squealand start hugging me. I hug them back, maybe letting out a sqeul or two.

"Okay Soph we'll be right here when you get back," Ava assures me.

"Okay guys, I gotta run, but I'll make sure to give you guys all of the juicy details when I get back." I say closing the door, making my way to my car.
I start the car and pull out of the driveway.

What If Jake plays me the same way Alec did? What if I fall back into that hole again

Stop Sophia everything will turn out fine. You and Jake will have an amazing date, then you'll go back home and tell the girls everything that happened. Then you'll sing in the talent show. Maybe Jake will ask you to be his girlfriend somewhere along the way.

The inner part of me still wants to believe that everything will turn out perfect, but the outer part of me has major doubts about this date. I've been freaking over the same doubts for the week, when Jake asked me out on this date. It's the same thing over and over again. 'It's gonna end up like Alec, it's gonna end up like Alec, it's gonna end up like Alec.' The thought has never left my mind since Jake asked me out.

I pull up onto the cliff, closing the car door quietly so I don't attract bears or any other animal that could kill me. I walk a little further onto the cliff. In front of me is a picnic table with a white table cloth on top with rose petals covering the table cloth and a small vase with white roses in it. I walk over to it smiling. I turn around to try to find Jake.

I found him; Kissing another girl.

I grab the roses out of the vase, and throw the vase on the ground. They shoot apart and Jake's eyes widen. Tears are streaming down my face, causing my vision to get blurry.
I turn on my heels, walking back to my car.

"Sophy, wait!" Jake calls after me, his voice desperate. I whip around in anger.

"DO NOT CALL ME THAT EVER AGAIN! AND NO, I'M NOT WAITING, I'M LEAVING!" I yell into his face, causing him to take a step back. I turn back around and run to my car.

"Sophia" Jake calls, his voice cracking. I ignore it, and continue to run to my car.

Slamming my car door shut, I choke back a sob and drive home.
