We step up to the door and it immediately swings open revealing an ecstatic Kasey.
"Hi guys come on in, and Jason, Jake is upstairs in his room." Kasey says with a sweet voice. We walk into their amazing house. It's like Christmas threw up in here, then had a few babies. It even smelled like Christmas.Like how can a house smell like Christmas?
On the dining room table there are pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, orange juice, and last but not least, cereal. I went towards the pancakes, while everyone else was moving to the eggs. I put two pancakes on my plate and sit down next to the plate of pancakes, because you never know, I may be really hungry today.Who am I kidding I'm never not hungry!
A sleepy Elaina strolls in the kitchen clutching a stuffed elephant. Her usual peppy smile is gone and it's replaced with droopy eyes and a frown.
"Hey Elaina," I coo. She looks up at me. She gives me a weak smile and crawls into my lap. I pull her closer to me and softly guide her head to my shoulder. She doesn't object she just lays her head down and closes her eyes. I do a half smile and continue to eat my pancakes. I look up from my food to get a drink of my orange juice. Kasey is gawking at me with a surprised look on her face.
"What's wrong?" I whisper.
"I've been trying to get her to sleep for hours, how did you do that." Kasey murmurs.
"I don't know I just kinda did it." I whisper back to her.
"Will you do me favor, and put her in her bed upstairs." I nod and stand up. It takes me a minute to get Elaina in a comfortable position so that I can carry her upstairs.
I get up to her pink room and set her down gently on her bed and tuck her in. I turn the light off and shut the door. Further down the hallway I hear hushed voices and I see the door wide open.
Curiosity gets the best of me and I creep down the hallway. I'm not one to eavesdrop, so I quietly lean against the open door frame. They still don't notice so I clear my throat. Both their heads whip to me. Both of them have deadpan looks strewn on their faces.
"What did you hear?" Jason asks me.
"Nothing, why?"
"Because it's none of your buiseness," Jason snaps at me with a glare. I scoff and walk back downstairs. I hear their footsteps behind me, but I just ignore them. I get to the bottom of the stairs. I decide to tell Jason that I'm leaving. So I abruptly stop and turn around on my heels. My face smacks against a hard chest, and the aroma of axe and mint flood my nose. I take a step back to see a smirking Jake. I roll my eyes he has such big head. "Jason I'm leaving, see you in an a few hours. You're still picking me up to take me to the park right?" I question monotonously.
"Actually," he trails rubbing the back of his neck.
"Jake is going to pick you up."
"I don't want to be stuck in the car with Jake, being in the same house is enough." Jake scoffs and smack his hand to his chest.
"If I didn't know you any better, Sophy I would think you're trying to break my heart." Jake says to me amusement clearly evident in his tone. I smile and roll my eyes and walk out the door. Jake can always make me smile and when he smiles he looks like a cute puppy. His smile shows his perfect teeth and his eyes crinkle up; his emerald eyes glint with happiness. All I want to do is see his smile it's like a drug to me.
Jake seems to be on my mind a lot lately. And I keep on finding thing about him that I love. His hair. It always seems to be perfect even when he just wakes up. His voice in the morning is absolutely amazing my knees go weak. It's all husky and raspy. His eyes you can see the emotions in his eyes if he's mad they are dark and cold. If he's happy they have a certain glint that makes him look like a little boy.
What am I thinking he's bad. He's going to get me into his trap and then he's going to leave me. And I won't let another boy leave me.
