Chapter 7

Don't Start the song until I tell you. Thanks I love you guys!!

Sophia's POV

I grab a stool from the back corner of the basement and set it down infront of the tv. I also grab a microphone from underneath a pillow. I hid it there, because I didn't want anyone to know that I could sing.

I sit straighter in stool, take a deep breath and focus on the lyrics.

I'm sorry to interrupt your reading, but this is how I imagined Sophia's voice to sound like. So this is how her voice sounds in my head, but you can imagine it however you want to.

Jake's POV
(Play song)

We all stare at Sophia, we didn't know how good of a singer she is. I have no idea why she wouldn't want to tell anyone about this AMAZING talent.

A strand of her hair falls in her face and it takes everything I have in me not to run up there and push it away. Her gorgeous deep brown eyes stare directly at the tv. She's probably trying to forget we're even here. It takes a lot of courage to sing in front of people you only met a week ago, yet she did, and it makes me love her even more. Wait did I just think that; I don't love her I just like her. I like the way she doesn't like the mornings. I like the way she isn't scared to eat infront of guys. I like the way she dresses. It's like she's not trying, yet she looks absolutely breathtaking. I like her brown hair and brown eyes. I like her laugh, its infectious. I like her smile, it could win awards. I like how bold she is. I like her out look on life, it makes me want to be better. Okay maybe I love her, but I don't even know her. So how do I know it's love.

I feel my phone vibrate beside me. I tear my eyes off Sophia to look at my phone. First I see Sophia's account on the screen. I guess she forgot to close it. Second I see the picture of all of the guys wearing bras at Victoria Secret. The caption makes me chuckle quietly.
I knew the guys were keeping a secret from me.....................😏😏
Then I see the video Jason posted. It's Sophia singing, and at the bottom, there's a caption.
My amazing, beautiful, talented sister.I never knew you could sing this good. I don't know why you hid it from me, but now that I know I will support you in any way possible.

I glance up to see Sophia smiling while singing. She looks so happy and when she's happy I'm happy too. I don't know how she has this effect on me I've only known her for a few days.
I feel my phone vibrate again. Emma and Ava sent me follow requests on Instagram. Of course I accept them. Then I put my phone down on the floor and watch Sophia.

Sophia's POV

I take a deep breath and turn towards my friends. All of them are staring at me with excitement in their eyes.

"OH MY GOODNESS YOU'RE FANTASTIC!!!!!" Ava screams and hugs me. Soon it's one big group hug, with everyone suffocating me.

"Can't breath, slowly dying," I choke out. They all quickly pull away.

"Sophia where are you, I need to tell you something, oh also where is Jason he needs to hear this too," My mom calls from upstairs.

"In the basement so is Jason."

"Well I just wanted to tell you that we're going over to the neighbor's house for dinner you can bring some friends because her son is bringing some of his," She yells.

"Actully mom my friends are all ready here. If you want to meet them." I suddenly hear footsteps pounding down the stairs. Once she sees all of us her eyes widen in shock.

"well I see you have made quite a lot of friends," She says breathlessly. I give her a wide smile.

"Mom this is Ava, Emma, Brady, Zach, and lets not forget Jake our neighbor." I say with a smile, pointing to all of them as I say their names. She nods.

"Well if ou guys need anything call me, Soph or Jason. we're your new second family." She sqeuls and runs up the stairs. The guys soon following probably to go get ready for dinner.

"Oh by the way," My mom says running backdown the stairs, " A little girl will be there so dress nice. Try to be a good role model" With that she scurries up the stairs again.

Soon me and the girls go up to my room to get ready.
