Chapter Four

Jessica's POV: I took out my homework and showed him the subject we were working on.

"This isn't too hard"

"I was absent the day she taught it" I replied.

"All you have to do is....." he finished explaining and then we did the problems together and I put my things back into my bag.

"What time is your curfew" Johnnie asked me.

"Nine thirty"

"We still have two hours what do you want to do"

"I don't know I think I should go back early because I wanted to make some chocolate chip cookies for my friends at lunch"

"Mmm can you make me some"

"Sure if you meet me at the commons area before warning bell"

"It's a date" He said and I laughed.

"Do you mind if I talk to your parents"

"I guess not but why"

"I just need to talk to them about something so I'll go ahead and walk you home"

"Ok thanks" I said and we got up from the bench we were sitting on.

"You can still stay for supper we usually have it at eight"

"I'll think about it" He said and I smiled.

I slung my bag over my shoulder and we started walking back to the house. Once we got to my house we walked in and was greeted by my parents.

"Johnnie have you decided to cone for dinner?"

"Yes and actually I would like to speak with you about something" Johnnie said and I went upstairs.

I decided to take a shower now instead of later because you know why not. I grabbed my black shorts I always wear to bed and a tank top. Next I grabbed underwear and a bra and went into my bathroom. I turned on the water and grabbed a rag and everything and then I got in. I don't usually sing in the shower because I don't like people hearing me sing but I hum to myself. Once I was finished I dried my hair somewhat with the towel and put on my clothes. Next I went ahead and brushed my hair and put the dirty things into my hamper.

"We were wondering where you were,  supper will be done in five minutes" my mom said and I sat down with Johnnie on the couch.

"I was very bored without you" He said.

"Sorry I really needed a shower"

"You didn't smell"

"Well I still needed one"

"It's done" My mom said and we all went into the kitchen.

My mom had made lasagna and garlic bread which I loved. I grabbed a can of mountain dew for Johnnie and I then I sat down and ate with everyone.

"Mom when I'm done eating I want to make some cookies"

"Ok there's like two bags of chocolate chips so feel free to make as many batches as possible"

"Thanks, can I use some tubberwear to take a couple cookies for my friends"

"Yes just make sure you bring them back"

"I better get going, thank you for dinner" Johnnie said getting up.

"I'll bring you some cookies tomorrow" I replied.

"Alright meet you before warning bell" He said before he walked out the door.

I put my dishes into the sink and got everything out to make cookies. Next I started pouring everything into bowls and then scooping the mix onto the cookie sheet. I ate the leftover mix while the cookies were being baked and then sat them on wax paper as they cooled down. Then I put most of the cookies in a container for at home and the rest in another for at school. I ate a cookie and they actually tasted really good for once. I always manage to burn the or make them crunchy and everything.

"The cookies are done I'm going to head up to bed" I told my parents and walked upstairs.

I went to my closet and looked at my clothes. I felt like dressing up for tomorrow I mean seriously why not. I pulled out my black batman dress and matching batman vans and sat them on my desk for the morning. Next I went ahead and got out my curling wand and did my hair because I didn't feel like getting up earlier than I have to in the morning. I set my alarm on my phone and turned off the light and finally decided to get some rest.

The next morning

I woke up at my usual time 6:45 and put on the outfit. I checked my hair and my mirror and it still looked fine so I just went with it. I decided to wear makeup today which is very rare. I took my eyeliner and made wings and then put on mascara. That's all I really did though so it wasn't much. I grabbed my bag and went downstairs and poured myself a bowl of cereal and grabbed the cookie container and sat it by my bag so I wouldn't forget them and then I ate. After I was done I walked to my bus stop and waited for my bus to arrive. The bus pulled up and me and three other kids got on and I went to my seat that's near the back. I sat with my friend and she looked happy to see me.

"Cookie?" I asked.

"YOU GOT TO FILM A VIDEO WITH JOHNNIE, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME HE WAS AT YOUR HOUSE"

"He was babysitting me believe it or not"

"Why didn't you tell me"

"I just didn't think that I needed to you can see him at school"

When the bus finally arrived at school we all walked in and I went to my locker. I unloaded my bag and went to the commons area and Johnnie came up to me. I handed him two cookies and the first bite his face lit up.

"These are amazing"

"I know, my cookies usually suck"

"I need to ask you something" He said.
