A/N

So I published this about a year ago but there were some problems and it was hard to find the story, so I have now re-published it in a hope to get more readers. Enjoy!

Run. Run. Escape. Survive. Don't ever stop running. Her heart raced and she could bearly breath. This is it, she thought. This is how I am going to die. Chased trough the woods. She felt two strong hands around her waist and her heart made a jump and she screamed as loud as she could.

The year was 1837. Brooke Harmon woke up in her bed early in morning and the sun bearly reached over the treetops yet.

She was coldsweating and panting after the dream. She ran her hands over the goosebumps on her arms. God that was so real. There was some kind of tense atmosphere in the air, she couldn't really put her finger on it but it was something. Like something bad was going to happen.

She slowly sat up and sighed. There was a knock on the door and a kind voice said:

"Miss Harmon, are you awake?"

All her worries washed away in an instant and were replaced with annoyance. She hated being checked up on. She wasn't a baby anymore; she could take care of herself. Trying to keep her voice friendly she answered.

"Come in".

The door opened and two chambermaids came in. Lynn and Nelly. Brooke tried to keep her face straight and not look like she had just almost been killed in her sleep.

"Good morning Miss", they said on the same time and did a little knee-bend to her honor.

"Good morning", Brooke said and got up from bed. Lynn pulled back the curtains and let the sun pour in over the luxurious carpet.

'I could have done that myself but no one let me do anything by muself anymore.' Brooke thought.

"Are you alright, Miss?"

Brooke turned her head and looked up on Nelly who had a worried expression on her face. She did not answer and she saw that Lynn turned her face to them with one of Brooke's dresses in her hands.

'Am Ireally that bad at hiding my feelings?' Brooke thought.

"I had a nightmare, that's all."

"About what Miss?" Lynn said and walked up to them.

"I was running through the woods, and actually", she said and glared down at the dress in Lynn's hands. "I was wearing that dress."

They did not reply so Brooke continued.

"Someone chased me, a man I think." Of course it had been a man. Those hands. They were too big and strong for a girls. A shiver ran down her spine.

"How romantic!" Nelly interrupted her thoughts. She crossed her arms over her chest and flicked with her eyelashes.

Brooke raised her eyebrows.

"Really, since when was it romantic to chased trough the woods by a man?"

"I read something similar once. They got married and had five children." She said and helped Brooke of with her nightgown.

The corner on Brooke's mouth twitched and then turned into a little smile. That would have been nice. To get to marry the one you love. Lynn releaced Brooke's hair from her braids and brushed it out in long red waves on her back. Nelly pressed the corset to Brooke's stomach and Lynn tied it tight. Very tight.

"Oh, god", Brooke panted and pressed her hands to her chest. "Is it supposed to be that tight?"

Nelly nodded. They helped her get into her dress. Brooke watched herself in the mirror all the time.
