She only had four words that she knew was the right ones to say. And she knew that she would never regret saying them.

     “I love you too.”

The wind tore at the trees outside and created a terrible hissing that woke Brooke up. It was so cloudy outside that you couldn’t see the sun behind them. She opened her eyes and looked up in Louis’ sleeping face. He was so much more beautiful in the morning than in the night because now, she could see his face properly. Last night, they had caressed each other's bodies with their fingertips ‘til they slowly had fallen asleep in each others arms. She liked to sleep besides him, even though this was the first time, she felt like she could feel him in a complete new way when they were asleep, like they were in each others dreams, because she could feel his presence sometimes. That was probably the connection that they had, but that didn’t really bother her. She liked to feel him. Both his mind and his body.

Suddenly he opened his eyes, but this time, they were calm and not filled with horror.

“Were you staring at me?” he chuckled.

“No, I was gazing at your flawless face”, she answered and smiled.

“Well, don’t, ‘cause it’s creepy”, he said and kissed her forhead and got out of bed.

Brooke laughed and leaned against the headboard.

“You should get something to eat, you look pale”, he said and walked over to the balcony door.

“I always look pale. But fine, I will, and I will probably kill someone now that you won’t be there to help me.”

“Second thought, wait until I come back, alright?” he said with a serious look on his face.

     “Agreed.”

“Excellent, I’ll come back later, so don’t go anywhere, and...” He opened the balcony door. “Try not to kill anyone while I’m gone, okay?”

“I’ll try”, she said and laughed. Why was she even laughing at that? That was just plain sad.

He nodded as an answer and jumped of the balcony railing.

The wind was slamming the door againt the stone wall outside and Brooke jumped out of bed and caught it before it would brake. God, why didn’t he shut the door after him?

She locked it and sighed. Another day to face. But she wasn’t alone, and for that, she was grateful. She had Louis.

She sat down infront of her desk and looked into the mirror. Louis thought that his sister, Lydia, reminded him of her. That they had the same red hair and the same green eyes. Brooke had never really cared that much about her looks, but to Louis, it probably meant a lot. Almost like he had gotten to see his little sister grow up into a young woman, and not murdered and lost. So when he looked at Brooke, he saw a little of his sister in her. But would’t that be wrong, to fall in love with your own sister? But Brooke was not his sister, and she was not seven years old. So that was the diffence. And maybe, her looks was just a triggering factor for him to feel attached to her. She had actually no idea. She only knew that his sister had meant the whole world to him, and if you lose your world, you have nowhere to go, because then, everything is lost. You have nothing. But then, he had found Brooke, someone who brought a little bit of his world back, little more for each day.

     “Brooke!”

Brooke jumped and almost fell off the chair. It was her brother Kim.

     “Yes?” she yelled back.
