It's been a few weeks since my Aunt let me leave Themyscira for National City.
Through some connections with my Aunt's contacts, as Diana Prince, and the money my mom has left for me, I found a place of my own. I have yet to meet the cousin of my Aunt's friend, the man of steel. Not because I haven't found her. I just want to explore on my own beforehand. Fitting in without standing out was a bit difficult. With my mom's money, I was able to buy a full wardrobe.
I walk around my apartment and look through my window to see the sun shines around the city. I sigh and return to my room to change. I hear a meowing noise from my window and I see a little black cat on the fire escape.
"Hey pretty girl." I smile, filling a bowl with milk for her to drink.
"Should I keep avoiding her?" I ask out loud.
The whole time I've been here, I haven't reached out to my Aunt's friend's cousin. I don't know what has compelled me not to but I wanted to try this by myself. No matter how lonely it can be. In Themyscira, there are Amazons everywhere and I never felt alone among family. Now I'm on my own and I'm not sure how to feel.
I walk around the streets in my new leather jacket that my aunt gave me before I left. Turns out it was my dads. It keeps me warm and hides my bracelets well. Under my jacket, I have a white tank top that I tuck my necklace in. With the help of the sale woman from the stores, I found some well fitting, dark denim skinny jeans and plenty of leather boots such as the black knee high ones, I have on now.

I take in the sights and go wherever the day takes me. I've realized that here people and their material items are much weaker than what we have in Themyscira. I also realized that my father's jacket weakens my Greek demi-goddess and keeps my strength at bay, which isn't a bad thing.
I start to see others running in the other direction and out of curiosity, I jog to whatever is panicking the crowd.
I run I see two sides of humans shooting at each other. But one side used bullets, the other was something stronger.
I hid behind a car, watching the action. I get closer while making sure I remain hidden.
"Stand your ground until Supergirl gets here!" I hear a woman yell.
