"So Alex gets to go home today." Kara smiles.

"Really? That's awesome. It's no fun without her." I smile back.

"Oh whatever, you go to see her every day. Now if you'd go say hi maybe she'd know." Kara teases.

"Shut it, I just don't want to be a bother. I'll go today and say hey." I say firmly.

Kara laughs and finishes getting ready for work.

"Well I'm off to CatCo, you can meet me afterwards during my lunch. Do you need any money?" She asks.

"No I'm ok. My mother left a fortune for me. I'll be fine." And left it at that.

"Alright then. I'll see you later." Kara waves as she walks out the door.

I sigh thinking about how these past couple of weeks been. Alex has been on bed rest and I've visited her every day. Some days I'm too timid to go past the door. But I observe from afar. I told Kara about my visits and she looked concerned for me. Maybe for my feelings.

On my way to the DEO, I see a lady selling flowers.

"Excuse me ma'am, I'd like to buy a few." I tell the vender until I have a good looking bouquet.

I walk up into the DEO happy as can be, finally gaining the courage to see Alex when I notice someone is there with her.

"I'm glad you're ok, baby." I hear the other say.

"Yeah, I finally get to go home." Alex replies.

The other voice that makes my blood boil. Until I see Alex reach for her a kiss her deeply with so much love and affection, the strength and anger leave my body and the flowers fall from my hands.

They make a noise that startles the two lovers and I panic. I speed myself out of there and out of the building.

I sigh deeply as unfamiliar emotions cloud my judgment and I keep flying high up where no one can see me.

I spend my time in the clouds trying to forget my misplaced emotions that I lose track of time. Suddenly someone is flying next to me.

"Its not polite to ditch someone for lunch." The voice startles me and I fall a little until I regain control.

"Sorry Haha you ok?" Kara laughs.

I shrug, laughing from the scare.

"Did you go see her?" She asks.

I don't answer cause what I saw is etched into my mind. Why did I think anything would change?

"Did you go inside this time?" She asks concerned.

I shake my head and stay silent. We fly together for a while. Silent tears fall from my eyes and I try not to make a noise. Kara grabs my hand and leads me down to land. We land on a clear pasture with no one in sight. She wraps her arms around me and I let it go. After a few minutes I wipe my tears and smile. Kara smiles back and looks at me concerned.
