"Do you know this girl?" A woman shows a man a photograph.
He tries to run away and she grabs him and throws him against a wall.
"No se! No se! No speak english.(I don't know! I don't know)" He whimpers on the floor.
"Conoces esta mujer?(Do you know this woman?)" She asks again.
"No! No!" He yells in fear.
She takes a deep breath and lets him go. She turns to find another lead when she's radioed in.
"Alex? Anything?" A voice asks.
"No. Another dead end." Alex sighs.
"I wish I was there." The voice sighs in the comm.
"I know, Kara, but you have to protect National City. I've got this. At least, we know she's not in Ecuador. I just have to keep going south. If news appears elsewhere, let me know. Peru is next." Alex groans.
"Well good luck, I hope you find her." Kara sighs.
"Thanks, lil sis."
"How are you and Maggie?" She asks, before I hang up.
"No word since I hit Panama. She doesn't get why I have to find her."
"Do you?" Is all I hear back.
I had no answer for the question, so I just stay quiet.
"You were in Panama like a month ago. Have you at least tried?" Kara fills the silence.
"Believe me, I have. After the third unanswered call, I gave up. I don't know what to tell you. Its almost a relief to be away." I start walking out of the alley.
"Honestly Alex, she's not the same Maggie I remember." Kara sighs.
"I know. Well hey I'll let you go, I've got a long drive ahead of me." She says goodbye and I take a breath.
I hop onto my bike and drive away.
I connect my bluetooth to my phone and try calling Maggie. Voicemail again.
"Maggie, I wish you could understand. I wish I could explain it to you. I miss your voice. I miss how we used to be. Maybe this time apart is best. I wish you the best. Take care Sawyer." I say with a sigh as I hang up.
Cass, let me find you. You don't get how much I need you right now.
......................................................................"Kara, I'm sure she'll find her." Mon-El tries to console me.
"It's been a year, Mon-El. I'm tired of just standing around." I groan.
"I know babe, but you have to be here to protect the city." He's right.. and so is Alex.
"I know. Ugh I don't like this. I'm going to go see Lena." I groan.
"Ok, babe. Be safe. I'll be here if you need me."
"You always are."
I leave my apartment and head to LCorp. Lena's secretary take one look at me and smiles. She already knows to let me in. I walk past her as she calls Lena to let her know I'm on my way.
I knock softly on her office door and peak in as soon as I hear her invite. I walk in to see Lena looking out her window. She's been doing that a lot, just disappearing into her thoughts, looking out the window hoping her friend would just appear on her balcony.
"Hey Lena." I say quietly as I walk toward the distracted CEO.
"Oh hello Kara." She turns around to give me a hug.
"How are you?" She asks, leading us toward the sofa in her office.
"There's no news. Cassie is still lost to us. Alex hasn't given up and I feel so helpless." I sigh, leaning back into the sofa.
She leans next to me and closes her eyes. Lena leans her head on my shoulder and I wrap my arm arou d her shoulder. We just lay there in silence comforting in each other's company.
"I'm sorry my resources haven't helped." Lena speaks up.
"They help. They at least send Alex in the right direction. The thing is that it's been a year. She has that serum in her system. She hasn't remembered at all. Otherwise we would've heard something." I sigh, leaning my head on Lena's.
"You mentioned she was from somewhere far from here. Isn't there some way of contacting family to help?" She asks. I stay quiet to think.
After the fight, Lena visited me asking about Cassie. I tried to say she simply disappeared. That's when she said Cassie appeared to her in Amazon form and she knew who she was. I was scared what could happen with such knowledge, but instead of using that information, Lena wanted to help to find her and bring her back. I explained that she's from an island of Amazons and that she's a hero and great friend of Supergirl. She hasn't connected the dots that I am Supergirl but I trust her that if I do, she would keep that secret. Alex and Hank are the only ones that are not so sure.
"Kara? Are you still there?" Lena waves a hand in my face.
"Huh? Yeah, you were talking about Themyscira. You may be right. Her Aunt rules there. She could help." I nod in agreement.
"The question is how to contact her." Lena thinks out loud.
"I have an idea." I stand up quickly.
I grab my things and give Lena a quick hug before heading to the one person I know who can help.
Kal, let's hope you can help.
