"So let me get this straight? You're an Amazon? Well half?" I am questioned by a tall dark man of authority.
I nod.
I've spent the last few hours trying to explain my story. The fact that Themyscira is hidden, doesn't help.
Supergirl simply messaged her cousin and he confirmed it and that was good enough for her. But for the head of the DEO, it was not. They took my bracelets away in a way of taking all weapons from me. They did not know of the ring. That should just remain a secret for now.

I watched as the dark skinned man paced in the room that we're in. Agent Danvers decided to stay out of this, since I saved her, they don't trust her to keep a clear head. Hades, I can't even keep a clear head around her.
"Why are the Amazons hidden?" The Director asks.
"To protect them from the hostile world of Mankind. Well at least that's what I was told."
"So it could be lies?" He eyes me carefully.
"No! What I meant was that they were bedtime stories. Of why we were hidden, of why we weren't allowed outside Themyscira." I exclaim.
"But you got out?" He sits down in front of me.
"Yes, with the permission of my Queen." I say, firmly.
"So there is a ruler? And how can I be sure that your ruler didn't send you to observe us to learn our weaknesses and attack?" He's trying to bait me.
"Because. My Queen is known to your people. She is friends with Supergirl's cousin. He is the man of steel and my Aunt is Wonder Woman. She's also my Aunt." I sigh, exhausted of trying to prove myself.
"And what about these weapons? These bracelets? Our tech people can't decipher them and yet you pulled a shield and sword out of them. So tell me, How can we trust that what you say is true?" He asks.
"Well they only respond to me. Without me, they mean no harm. But whether you believe me or not, I mean no harm as well. And we'll with my Aunt, it's not like you can call her. If anything, her name here is Diana Prince. She told me to come to National City. I could find a home here with people that can teach me everything I've missed. She told me to find Supergirl."
I watch as his eyes widen at the name of my Aunt's. I wait in hope that I can get out of here.
"Wait here." He says firmly and I nod.
He goes through the door and automatically I see Supergirl argue my case as they walk away. What the director didn't see was Agent Danvers sneak her way in.
I look at her shocked. Not only because she's breathtakingly beautiful but also because she's standing right in front of me with a confused look on her face.
"Hello, Agent Danvers." I break the silence.
"Please, you risked your life to save me, call me Alex." She smiles at my formality.
