11 - let's do this

"I'm sorry it had to happen this way" I whispered to her as we sat in pure silence. "It's not your fault" Her voice shaky. After the silent drive back, I helped Carrie out of the car and carried her to the room. It was passed midnight so I'm assuming the she-devil is asleep.

"Do you want to change into your pj's?" I asked while bending down on my knees to her height since she was sitting on the bed. She shook her head yes, but there was too much alcohol in her system for her to even stand up.

"Let me help, I won't look I'm just going to hand you the clothes and you can change here." She smirked and took the clothes out of my hand.

"You don't have to turn around" Carrie said laughing and wiggling her eyebrows. "You're drunk and I'm not taking any type of advantage over you" I said still facing the opposite of her.

"I'm done" She whispered then crawled under the covers. I walked over to her closet then turned around to see if she was asleep yet, and sure enough she was snoring. I grabbed her two suitcases and started packing everything in her small closet.

Her room was very small and barely had anything in it considering she's been here a year. I gathered my few items and put the bags in my jeep. Whatever I have to do, I'm not staying here and neither is Carrie.

I set out tomorrow's outfits then sat down in the bed. "Come lay with me" She groaned with her eyes barely opened. I laughed then took off my shirt leaving me in my basketball shorts.

"You're so nice and warm" She snuggled into my chest. I kissed the top of her head before laying my head down. "I love you" I heard Carrie's muffled voice. I smiled to myself, "I love you Carrie"

Morning

I set my alarm to wake me up at 6 A.M. so we could ditch Rachel. "Hey Carrie, we need to go" I whispered kind of shaking her. "Why?" She questioned. "We're going to find a new place to live" I responded to her. "Hayes I can't afford to do this" She panicked.

"Don't worry, I'm paying for it all" I reassured her and she sighed with a wave of relief. "Why are you so nice to me?" She asked looking me straight in the eyes.

"Because I told you already, I love you" I whispered then she smiled at me. I explained to her that I've already got the car packed and she just needs to get ready. While she was doing her thing, I walked over to Rachel's room and see she's still sleeping which is good for us.

"Are you ready" I turned around to see Carrie in a casual outfit with her hair down. "Let's do this" I grabbed her hand and led her out the house.
