Carrington Ann Durham

Many weeks and months went by without a single trace of a call from my ex best friend of many years. I thought I had someone that would be by my side for everything. Luckily I have Hayes now. Hayes and I have a house in the hills of Los Angeles. Lately Hayes has been away from home since he is filming for a new series in Hollywood. It has been depressing living in a state of silence everyday when he's not home.

As I was thinking of what I don't have in life, I heard a familiar car arrive at the house. I immediately jumped from my seat and ran outside. "Babe" I heard Hayes say before I engulfed him in a hug. "I missed you so much" I whispered trying not to cry. "I'm home and I'm not leaving anytime soon." He looked into my eyes then pecked my lips. "Don't cry babygirl, how about we go on a date night tonight?" I smiled and nodded my head.

"I just got my paycheck so we're going to a fancy place" He winked making us laugh. "Since I need to shower I'm going to start getting ready." I told him as we were walking inside the house.

"I need a shower too..." He trailed off looking at me. "You're just going to have to wait or take a shower in the other bathroom" He let out a very loud sigh then looked at me. "But" I shook my head laughing at his stupidness. "Two out of three" He put his hands out ready to play rock, paper, scissors.

"Are you kidding me?" I laughed and he had the most serious look. "If you win you get your choice and if I win I get my choice"

"Hayes I'm not playing the game, now if you will excuse me I'm going to take a shower" I kissed his cheek then went to the bathroom to get ready. I got undressed then stepped into my shower that was pouring out cold water. I loved cold showers because it's healthier for your skin.

As I was washing my face I heard some commotion from behind me. "Oh fuck that shit, that water is cold" I heard Hayes' voice which made me pull the curtain over me. "Hayes! Get out" I shouted as I saw him running out of the bathroom butt naked.

I started crying at the sight because it was so funny. I finished up my shower then dried off. After I got on some clothing I walked out of the bathroom to hear Hayes taking a shower in the other bathroom. He's so childish.

I started doing my makeup which was going to be a natural look. After that I curled my hair a little bit. I searched through my closet for a dress then found a knee length white dress. I put it on making sure not to mess up all this, because this don't come naturally.

"Hey, woah you look stunning as always" Hayes said coming into the room wearing a button up shirt with dress pants. "Thanks, you look handsome yourself" I replied admiring how hot he looked at the moment. "Can you zip up the back of this? I can't reach it" I asked him and he smirked me. Oh Lord this is going to be quite the night.

"Sure, I'd rather do the opposite but..." He mumbled making me laugh. "Someone is hormonal today" I stated turning my eyes to Hayes as we were standing in front of the mirror. He shrugged his shoulders and smirked. I playfully hit his arm. "Come on let's head to the restaurant"

At restaurant

Hayes and I walked hand in hand into the restaurant filled with people. He whispered something to the hostess and she nodded her head. "Follow me this way" She smiled at us and took us to a table that was on the balcony looking over the city. "This is beautiful" I whispered in awe.

"It really is. I'm glad we got to come here tonight" He said holding my hand from across the table. We both had steak meals that were out of this world delicious.

After we were done we just stood and looked out at the view. "Hey Carrie" Hayes whispered and I turned to look at him. Little did I know how greatly this would change my life.
