Prologue
Edited
[There's nothing to do here.] I thought to myself while my eyes are skimming around...what's this city called. Oh yeah, London. This place is deserted. And when I mean deserted, I mean the immortals not the mortals. Many mortals were running and walking around, doing their own businesses.
[Exactly!] someone said in their mind behind me, who replied to my thought. He then walks beside me and I can see him clearly now. His dull wings was the same with his expression, like he didn't even know I meant my thought to myself. The ginger-haired teenage boy, with gray eyes exactly like mine; patted my shoulders and went off.
I watch him walk away and when I'm sure he was totally gone, I said in my mind [Well there goes my privacy,]. I immediately look behind me to make sure if any of my fellow guardian angels heard it. Mortals will call that conversation with me and the ginger-haired weird, but us immortals call it talking.
I sigh in relief when I noticed that I am the only guardian angel here in the street. I continued walking on the street, making sure there are no fallen angels around. The mortals, as always, are doing their daily routines.
Kids running and goofing around. Store owners opening their doors and welcoming their costumers in a bright sunny day. People in the park who are running and jogging, walking with dogs, and people riding some kind of transportation with two wheels. Workers rushing through cabs and subways while the time ticks by.
They were living, enjoying their life. Looking at them made a rush of emotion running down my veins but I don't know what it is......Its in the tip of my tongue but it didn't rush through my brain first.
I decided to walk to the park. Kids were passing by me....literally. I walk further through the grassy place until I see something strange but incredible. Kids are swinging around some man-made thing making them jump high, almost higher than the tree. Another man-made thing just next to the first was a slanting plane figure with stands and a ladder on it. Kids are climbing the ladder until they slide in the plane figure and ended up in the ground again. There are lots more things than just the two I described.
"C'mon, mum, let's go to the playground...Please." a girl's voice say behind me. I turn around and see a young girl dragging her mum to the...playground?
Playground
That is what that something is called, a playground. I smile to myself and chuckle at my mind [I finally figure out a man-made thing!]
My smile fades away when I notice how happy the kids are while playing. I know it's crazy to be sad while the kids are happy but a part of me wanted to know if I was that kind of kid who is always happy before. Before I died. I close my eyes and try to remember my past, and as always I ended up with a severe headache that lasted for 20 minutes.........

A/N
As promised, here is the prologue! I know it's too boring and short but this is just a sneak peek for the following chapters. And I don't want my prologue to be too long. So I just cut it out.
The second part will be in the first chapter
The prologue is confusing but it will be more understood in the first chapter also. The dialogue with this signs [ ] means they are talking or thinking in their mind. Oh...and if you are wondering this is in Miles' POV.
Happy (advance) Chinese New Year to all! And if your curious, I'm not Chinese.
