Chapter 2
“You made me think differently.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since the day I talked to a carrier, Emily, I can't help but realized how right she was. I can't help but think what my life was before. And the worst part is, I want my mortal life back.
I growled in frustration and kicked a rock. I was so spaced out that I ended up walking in a street I don't recognize.
While I walked into the mortals I noticed a store that was different from the others. I looked through the store's glass and I saw the display full of figurines. I walked into the door and I noticed one shelf full of angel figurines.
It reminds me of the time when I overheard an angel in my mind saying, that when one angel figurine will break, the nearest angel in the figurine will be injured. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps.
”Cling, Cling” the chandelier hanging on the door rang and a brunette girl with blue eyes came in. The girl behind the cash register pop somekind of food and got the thing hanging on her ears out. “Another figurine?” she asked. “Yup!” the brunette girl said.
The brunette girl went through me and she then went in search for an angel figurine.
She was different than the other mortals, you could see her face more clearly. In my eyes she has the mortal form, she believes in angels. Her blue eyes were clearer than water and her locks running down her shoulders were like vines in the forest.
She went to the cashier, and the cashier girl said “You really dont get old collecting that, do you?” and the girl shook her head in response. The cashier girl leaned in to get the figurine and further said “Why?”.
When the cashier girl leaned in, I saw a demon trying to whisper in her ear.
Oh no..
The demon was about to whisper at the cashier girl's ears but she moved, and she put the thing back in her ears. The girl gave in an irritated look and said ”I told you that reason a millionth times already, Amber, but you never listen.”
I knew the demon was planning to control Amber so that he could hurt the girl. And as an angel, I need to save her.
I was about to lunged at the demon when a strong force stopped me. The force was strong enough to open the glass door and make the demon hit his back at the wall. I knew it was made by a fellow angel, and when I looked at the door the winged immortal went through it.
[I got this.] he said in my mind while carrying the demon away from the store, and I relaxed. “That was strange.” Amber said flatly when she felt the strong force, and she was getting the thing off again.
She realized that she didn't sense her sorroundings for awhile, and she looked at the brunette girl “What, Samantha? Are you saying something?”. Samantha just shrugged and said “Nevermind.”
She went through me again and the sound of the chandelier rang again. Angels never feel anything in their whole life but the essence never left. That's what I felt when she went through me, my heart never pound so fast like this before. She was different from other mortals, and I have a sudden feeling that I will be here in the store every day.
A/N
Hey, guys! Sorry for the late update again but I never made a promise so....yeah.
This is the shortest chapter I've ever made, and that's because I wrote it in my notebook before putting it on wattpad.
The next few chapters will be short too but I'll try to check it and make it long.
Until next time! Bye!
