Friday came so quickly, it was probably because I spent more of my time on fun things lately. Ever since Jay came into my life I seemed to be happier and I was able to sleep better.
I had been texting Ashely telling her to meet me at the Club near the park but she hasn't answered I've been waiting for a while time now. I sat on a bench just out side of the club and went on texting her to see if she answered.
"Hey! I didn't think you were this kind of girl, why didn't you say anything about this we could have had way more fun," a familiar voice filled my ears.
I looked up and saw none other than jay, of course he's here, he's that type of guy, he was wearing a type of faded band t- shirt and black jeans" well, I'm actually here for a job I have today," I said looking around, I found it quite hard to look at him directly in the eyes recently I have no idea why I just get really nervous when I do.
"A matching job or a stripping job at the club?" he asked confused.
"Obviously a stripping job," I sarcastically answered.
"Hey, well I don't know what type of person you really are I just know you can beat the living shit out of me at air hockey," he said laughing.
"We'll its a matching job and the girl hasn't shown up yet, I am afraid she might not even come," I sighed.
He sat down next to me.
"What are you doing?" I asked looking at him trying to not look away.
"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm being a great friend and waiting with you," He looked around.
"Wow, thanks I don't know what I would do without you jay, you're my bestest friend," I jokingly rolled my eyes.
He was about to say something but Ashely came up to us before he could.
"I am so, so, so sorry I'm late! I had to take my nephew to his soccer game and it took forever to finish and-"
"It's fine, anyways I apologize for having my friend here he doesn't want to leave so I hope it is not a bother," I said gesturing toward Jay who lightly shoved me. He obviously didn't want to hang out with two girls who will be looking for a date in a club.
Oh well he'll have to suffer.
"Say hi Jay, this is Ashely," I gestured towards Ashely.
"Sorry, hi Ashely," He smiled at her
"Hi," she shyly waved.
For some reason this bothered me. I grabbed both their arms and brought them into the club. We sat near the bar and ordered a shot each, just to get Ashley to loosen up a little she looked so nervous.
Jay then said he was gonna go use the bathroom and left, after he left two guys came up to us, one of them had a red button up and spiky light brown hair, he seemed to be looking at Ashely. He was totally falling for her after they began talking about some nerdy things. The other guy was wearing a gray t-shirt and dark blue jeans he had black hair which was styled into a quiff. he began talking to me and hitting on me every once in a while. I tried giving him a hint that I am not interested but he obviously didn't care.
"So do you wanna get outta here?" he said with a wink.
"Umm, no I'm actually fine here, I don't feel like going anywhere," I was getting pissed off.
"Come on, I know you do, you're just playing hard to get aren't you?" He smiled at me.
"Um, no I am not, so stop trying, I'm clearly not interested," I frowned holding back my anger.
I saw Jay and boy was I glad to see him. I had a plan.
"Come on I-" the guy started but I cut him off.
"Hey Babe, what took you so long, this guy keeps trying to 'get me out of here' and won't get the hint that I'm not interested," I looked at Jay, eyes pleading him to help me and play along.
"Oh really?" He shot an eyebrow up "Do you not understand what no means?" He is a good actor, he actually looked and sounded mad.
"Sorry man this chick didn't mention having a boyfriend, geez!" The guy said as he left.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I said so relived the guy left.
"No problem, that's what friends are for, anyways it seems like Ashely found herself some eye candy," He nodded towards Ashely.
I looked at over at her and the guy she was with, they were talking and you could totally see the love in their eyes, that was the best part of my job. It was beautiful seeing people fall in love. "Yeah, I'll go tell her my job is done."
"Hey Ashely, I gonna go now I'll text you later to arrange the you know what," I said laughing a little.
"Oh, okay bye!" she beamed.
"Bye, see you later," I waved and left.
I was walking out, when Jay stopped me.
"So you're just gonna go home?" He asked.
"Yeah my job is done I have nothing else to do," I shrugged.
"Well then let's go watch a movie or something" he took out his keys from his pocket.
I laughed, "Fine but you're gonna have to stop doing that, I hate having to drive my car back late at night."
"Fine by me," he said dragging me toward his car.
