Su-Jin woke up and saw the night sky covered and blocked by the trees. She scanned the area to find a spot with and open view, and sure enough, there was. She walked over to the spot, sat on the large rock and looked up to admire the sky.

She smile crept up on her face as she closed her eyes and felt the moonlight shine on her face.

A little while later, Maek Jong woke up and saw Su-Jin a few feet away from him, smiling with her eyes closed.

He took a moment to stare at her before quietly and slowly approaching her.

Su-Jin, on the other hand, was too busy "watching" memories in her mind.

Her hair was reflecting the moon's artificial light and a soft breeze swept by, moving her hair. However, she still kept her eyes closed and she felt relaxed.

Maek Jong found his self staring at Su-Jin again, how do I get her back into reality without startling her?, he pondered.

He didn't see any way of snapping her out of her trance without giving her at least a small heart attack.

Should I put my hand on her shoulder? No, she'll flinch at the sudden contact...

Maybe I could clear my throat? Hmm, no, she'll get startled; she looks so peaceful.

Should I call out to her? She'll get startled as well!

Throw a rock? She might think there are more assassins...

Walk in front of her? No, she'll think I'm creepy...

Maybe I should just speak up...

"You like the night, huh?", Maek Jong finally said.

Su-Jin opened her eyes and turned to look at Maek Jong. She smiled a little before nodding and humming in response, "Mhm".

"May I know the reason why?", he unconciously said, regretting it afterwards.

He got nervous because Su-Jin might snap at him and say a sassy comeback like; "Why do you care?", but instead, she smiled again and said, "It relaxes me. I don't know why...it just does".

He nodded and said, "Well, we should probably be going now if we want to reach Silla by tomorrow".

Su-Jin got up from the rock and walked over to their horses. She looked at him; "Then let's go".

aigoo, it's been a long time, huh? sorry! i was really busy and i had writers block bc idk what to put while stalling...
