Albert was lead into the police car, kicking and screaming at the officers. Illya and Solo noticed Saunders coming through the crowds of reporters and undercover agents, a thick coat covering him.

"Nice job agents," he smiled at the agents, before furrowing his brow as he looked around. "Where's Agent Teller?"

"She was not involved in this part of the mission for safety reasons, sir." Solo winked at Illya and turned to face Saunders. "She's in one of the police cars."

AN HOUR BEFORE

Gaby and Solo arrived at the house, surrounded by dozens of police officers and undercover agents from both the CIA and KGB. He bit his lip as he looked down at Illya's note one last time before scrunching it up and he turning to Gaby.

"Gaby," he rested a hand on her shoulder, "you'll forgive me for what I'm about to do."

"Solo..."

Solo grabbed Gaby by the waist and flung her over his shoulder. She gasped in shock at the sudden movement. She couldn't bring herself to scream at first, until she realised that Solo was heading for the open door of the police car.

"Solo, please no, I've got to go inside..."

"You'll forgive me," Solo tried to place Gaby in the car as gently as possible, but she was protesting and fighting back hard, "but Peril might never forgive me."

Hot tears rolled down her cheeks. "Solo, I've got to help him, open the door, please! Illya might already be dead!"

"All the more reason for you not come."

As Solo started to leave the police car to approach the building and begin the heist, Gaby banged on the glass of the car window, trying to smash through the blackened pane. But it was no use. It was a daunting wait to see if they would come back out alive. The body bags were on standby already.
