Telling Judy

When I wake up in the morning, I text Judy's number for the first time.

Hey!

Hi :) ^^

Guess what? I checked out four books from Kyell Gold

Really? :O He's my favorite author. Which book are you reading first?

I'm reading all of them, honestly. They're all really good. I'll see you at school ^^

She sent me a heart? Im feeling nervously excited while i get dressed for school.

I go downstairs and eat cereal with Liam and Gracie again. 

Liam winks at me from across the table and forms his hands to make ears on his head.

I roll my eyes and get my stuff ready for school and wait outside of the bus.

I hear my phone ring and answer it, while I see Liam listening to music from across from me.

"Hello?" I say.

"Hi! It's Judy, can you hear me?"

"Yeah, I can."

"Good!" She says contently, "Here, do you wanna eat at the library again? We can talk about Kyell Gold and some other things." 

"Sure I would love to."

"Ok! Bye" 

Beep Beep Beep.

I put away my phone and wait for the bus.

Liam looks over at me.

"Who was that? You sounded happy." He asks.

I respond with a mumble, "Just Judy, the girl who invited me to sit next to her."

"Oh, I see. Where were you at lunch yesterday, anyway?"

"Liam, stop asking me so many questions. I was at the nurse's office because my stomach hurt."

Lies. Again.

"Oh, okay. Sorry."

He puts his headphones back in. I see the bus come from around the corner. 

I make sure not to make the same mistake as I did last time, and I sit across from Liam again.
