It was one of those nights, Bill and Tom were at each other's throats insanely trying to kill each other as Gustav and Georg watched and groaned in discomfort.
"HOW DARE YOU BACK INTO A PUBLIC MAILBOX WITH MY CAR!!" Tom shouted
"I SAID I DIDN'T SEE IT!" Bill replied
"AND THAT'S SUPPOSED TO MAKE ME FEEL BETTER?! WHAT ABOUT MY FUCKING CAR?!" Tom shouted
"GET IT FIXED!" Bill shouted back
"YOU DO IT!! IT'S YOUR DAMN FAULT!" Tom shouted
"But it's your car!" Bill said
"YOU CAUSED THE DAMAGE!!" Tom screamed as he threw his car keys at Bill
"Don't scratch my face!" Bill said
"DON'T CRASH MY CAR!!" Tom yelled as Bill slammed the door
Meanwhile, Georg and Gustav looked at each other and shook their heads.
Moments after Bill's return from the repair shop, everyone had gone to bed.
Bill had just turned in for the night as well when he heard a noise outside that woke him up.
"Oh mein Gott! What was that!" he said "I must be dreaming!"
Then he heard the noise outside his window again.
Then he decided to wake everybody up.
"Guys! wake up! I heard something!" he said as banged on everyone's doors
"This better be important, Bill! I was in the middle of a very good dream!" Tom scolded
"Ja, Bill! It's the middle of the night! What are you thinking waking us up this early?" Georg asked
"I heard crying." Bill replied
"Bill, you were having a dream. Can we go back to sleep now?" Tom asked
"I just need to know for sure." Bill said as everyone groaned and followed him to the front door
When Bill opened the door, everyone made an unusual discovery.
"Where did that baby come from?" Gustav asked
"That.Is.A very good question." Bill replied
Both Tom and Georg promptly fainted.
As Bill brought the shivering newborn girl out from the rain, Gustav brought a bucket of ice cold water from the kitchen to wake his friends.
"Gustav! What the fu- oh sorry. I forgot there was a baby here." Tom said
"Give us a warning next time okay, man! I'm s-so c-c-cold!" Georg said
"Guys, this is serious! We need to discuss what to do about the baby." Bill said
"Did she come with a note?" Georg asked
"Nein." Bill replied
"Then someone abandoned her here." Tom said
"Can we keep her?" Bill asked pleading
"We'll have to. She's not a lost puppy." Gustav replied
"She just needs a name." Georg said
"I don't want to name her anything to lame." Bill said
"As if 'Bill' wasn't lame enough." Tom said laughing
"I'm not naming her THAT! Besides that name's already taken." Bill replied as he held the child who reached over and pulled on Tom's hair
"Can anyone else come up with anything better?" Tom asked looking at the G's "all our ideas fail."
"How about 'Berlin'?" Gustav suggested
"Genius!" Bill exclaimed
"I can't argue with that." Tom said
"Neither can I. It's a beautiful name and she's a beautiful child." Georg said, smiling
"So it's settled, Her name is Berlin." Bill said then Gustav cut in
"Does this mean she'll have three last names?" he asked
"Of course! Little Lin will have three daddies and of course if you count Bill that will make one male mommy." Tom said smiling as Bill groaned and rolled his eyes at the 'male mommy' part.
"Well now that that's settled, let's go back to bed." Georg said
"Wait!" Gustav said
"What now?" Georg asked
"Where will Berlin sleep?" Bill asked
"Ja, she needs a cradle or something and we don't have that...well, not yet anyway." Tom said as he traced a finger on the infant's scalp
"I'll see if we have a basket and some blankets." Gustav said
Georg grabbed his keys and coat off the shelf and headed for the door.
"Where are you going, Hagen?" Tom asked
"To find a store that's still open at this hour. We're gonna need a lot of stuff for Berlin." Georg replied
"Found it!" Gustav called as he came out with a basket all ready for Berlin in blankets and cushions.
"Where's Georg?" he asked looking at the door
"He went to find a store to pick up some things for Berlin." Bill said as he followed Gustav to one of the bedrooms as he put the basket on the floor next to the bed.
Bill, Tom and Gustav watched the baby rub her sleepy eyes and yawn.
"Good night, Baby Berlin." Bill said to the child
"Sweet dreams, little Lin." Tom said as he kissed Berlin's forehead
"I know you'll like it here, little prinzessin. Pleasant Dreams." Gustav said as he stroked Berlin's cheek
Later, Georg came in the room to see his bandmates looking at little Berlin sleeping.
"What did I miss?" He asked
Bill shushed him.
"Sorry." Georg whispered "Is she sleeping?"
Tom and Gustav nodded and smiled
Georg came up to where everyone else was and looked at the baby.
She was just as beautiful sleeping as she was awake.
"I think I'm going to like keeping her." Bill whispered
"So am I." Tom whispered back
The G's nodded in agreement and smiled.
