Suddenly Family

Part 2

The next morning, Gustav woke up to Berlin crying in her basket.
Soon, the other three bandmates rushed in to check on the baby.
"What's wrong with her, Gustav?" Bill asked as Tom knelt to the basket making silly faces.
"I don't know." Gustav replied "Maybe she had a nightmare."
"But it's morning." Tom said as he picked little Berlin up and cradled her
"Maybe she needs to be fed?" Georg asked
"I did that five times already!" Bill complained
"Uh oh!"Tom said
"What?"Bill asked
"I think Lin needs to be changed."Tom replied
Everyone except Tom ran for the door which made Berlin scream louder.
"Laute! Laute! Come back!" Tom said "Don't make me do this alone!"
The other three bandmates ran out of the room anyway.
"Bring diapers!" Tom shouted then turned to Berlin and said "Don't worry, Lin. Your other daddies will come back."
Only Bill came back with all of Berlin's stuff in his slender arms.
"Where are Georg and Gustav?" Tom asked
"In the kitchen. They sent me back to help you with Berlin." Bill replied
"Their loss, I guess. Let's get this over with." Tom said
The twins counted before any task was carried out.
"1..."said Bill
"2..."said Tom
"3..."said the twins in unison as Tom removed the tape of Berlin's diaper.
Bill passed out at the smell coming from his adoptive daughter.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen the G's were talking while Gustav made breakfast and Georg prepared Berlin's bottle.
"Do you...hear something?" Gustav asked
The G's soon heard Bill run downstairs in a panic.
"Calm down, man! Where's the fire?" Georg asked
"I didn't know vaginas looked like that!" Bill yelled
"You weren't supposed to stare at it!" Tom shouted from upstairs
Berlin giggled little baby giggles
"Bill! Where's Lin's soother?" Tom yelled impaitiently
Bill looked around then checked the pockets of his pajama bottoms then sighed "I lost Berlin's soother!"
Georg rolled his eyes and plucked the missing pink soother off of Bill's face. It was stuck there since early that morning.
"Ow!" Bill said rubbing his face
I'll take this to Tom. You might want to put some ice on that." Georg said
Later that afternoon, the guys decided to make another outing for Berlin's room and to buy her more clothes and toys.
"We're going to check out the cribs and furniture, would you take Berlin and the list and we meet you here when we're done?" Gustav asked
"Not a problem." Bill said but was interrupted by Tom when he said "You know, I think I'll go with Bill. He may need help with the list."
"Tomi, I can do this alone. Don't worry." Bill said
"Have you seen these two shop for furniture?! It's like watching paint dry!" Tom said
"Alright. You can come along." Bill replied
When Bill and Tom were in the clothing department, Berlin was starting to get fussy.
"Is she okay, Tomi?" Bill asked
"I don't know. Did we feed her before we left?" Tom asked back
"Nein. Gustav did." Bill replied
"Was she..." Tom was about to ask but Bill cut him off.
"Let's review dear big brother. You changed her and gave her the soother. Gustav fed her, Georg bathed her and dressed her, I had to bathe and dress her again because she's too young and too small for the stuff Gustav fed her, it made her sick! That's why I sent you out to get something she would actually like." Bill said
"Then why is she crying?" Tom asked
"She's tired. She hasn't had a nap at all today." Bill replied as he took Berlin out of the seat she was in and began to cuddle her and sing her to sleep as he followed Tom who pushed the cart.
