Suddenly Family

Part 8

Later that night at Dinner, Berlin was wide awake and looking around the table as Gustav fed her.
Georg looked over at Berlin as she drank her bottle then, turned to her bag and pulled out her toy keys.
Berlin's eyes lit up as she reached up to try to grab them.
Both Georg and Gustav laughed as she cooed happily.
"Here you are, sweetheart." Georg said as he handed the little plastic keys to Berlin just as Gustav finished feeding her
Bill looked up from him menu and smiled as did Tom as Berlin tried to grab Gustav's glasses as he lifted her to his shoulder and proceeded to burp her.
"Hey, come on! I can't see." Gustav said as he moved Berlin's hand down off of his face as Berlin smiled at him to which Gustav smiled back and kissed her on the cheek
"She's very active tonight." Bill said
"Ja. It's a miracle she's being so quiet." Gustav replied as he watched Berlin suck on her toy keys
"She's been very relaxed ever since this afternoon when we were at that interview." Tom said
"Then, there was that TV appearance a few hours ago." Bill said
"True. Maybe Berlin's just tired...or she just wants to play with us." Georg said as he received Berlin from Gustav and proceeded to talk nonsense to her in the band's native language as Berlin giggled
Bill laughed and said "It looks like she's far from tired."
"Ja. Anything but sleepy." Tom agreed
"But when she does get tired, at least she will sleep through the night." Bill said
Soon, Berlin wiggled around in Georg's arms and began to make noise.
"Berlin? Are you okay, sweetheart?" Gustav asked
"She's finally tired." Georg replied as he proceeded to comfort Berlin while looking for her pacifier
Bill checked the calendar on his phone and laughed to himself.
"What?" Tom asked
"Tomorrow is Halloween." Bill said
"We should get Linnie a costume." Tom replied
"You two are crazy! Berlin is too young to go trick or treating. Why would she need a costume?" Georg asked
"She can wear it to the TV appearance." Tom said
"That's a good idea!" Bill said
Georg and Gustav just looked at each other in confusion then, thought about it.
"That sounds like a good idea." Georg said
"Ja, fair enough. But, what are we going to get Berlin for a costume?" Gustav asked
"Don't worry. Just leave that to me." Bill said
Later after leaving the restaurant, Georg and Gustav decided to go back to the hotel for some sleep while Bill and Tom went to a costume shop to find Berlin a costume for Halloween.
As Bill looked through the costumes, Tom played with Berlin as they waited for Bill to find something.
"Oh this is so cute!" Bill said as he pulled out a ladybug costume
"Was?! Nein Bill! Put it back!" Tom said
"Come on Tom! Let me at least put it on her to see how it looks?" Bill asked
Tom thought for a moment then said "Alright. But I get to pick one too."
"Deal." Bill said as he took Berlin in his arms and went back to the dressing room
Soon, Bill came back with a now screaming Berlin in his arms.
"Berlin, what's wrong?" Tom asked
"She doesn't like the costume, Tomi!" Bill said
"Calm down, Billa. We can fix that. Hand me Linnie...I have a costume she she might like." Tom said as he held up a caterpillar costume
"So cute! Fack! Why didn't I think of that?!" Bill said
"Language Billa..." Tom whispered as he pointed to Berlin who was listening
"Oh...sorry Prinzessin." Bill said as he patted Berlin on the head
Tom then took Berlin back in his arms and went to the dressing room.
While Tom was dressing Berlin in the costume he chose, Bill looked through the rest of the shop.
Trying on masks, looking at decorations and trying on hats.
Soon, Bill stumbled upon a pile of trick or treat bags.
He thought about how the fans reacted to Berlin in such a positive way and news of Berlin was now getting around the internet and fan forums as well as social media.
If there was one thing they had to be ready for now that the fans knew about Berlin was gifts for her from them.
So after looking through the pile, Bill finally settled on one bag with a little black kitten on it.
Soon, Tom had returned with Berlin in his arms and she was wearing the caterpillar costume while she was nodding off to sleep.
"She looks really comfortable in that." Bill said
"Of course. When I put Linnie in this, she instantly calmed down." Tom said
Bill smiled and ran his thumb over Berlin's cheek and said "I think we found a costume."
The next day at the last promo tour stop in Germany, the guys brought Berlin on to the set of the TV show they were going to be on.
But before they went on, there was a meet and greet with fans.
These fans also brought gifts for Berlin since it was Halloween.
The guys thought that the gifts Berlin got were adorable.
Among the gifts Berlin got was a Halloween themed teddy bear, a Halloween themed blanket, socks with candy corn and jack o lanterns on them with a matching onesie, a black cat plushie, a candy corn baby bracelet, a pacifier with a ghost on it and other things that were not Halloween related.
"Oh mein Gott! So cute!" Bill said then he showed the two plush toys to Berlin "Look Berlin! You got new toys!"
Berlin smiled and tried to reach for one of the plushies Bill was holding.
Bill smiled and handed Berlin the black cat plushie to cuddle with while the guys proceeded with their performance.
Just as before, the guys made sure that Berlin was close by to where they could keep an eye on her.
But unlike before, after the performance as the show went to commercial, Berlin started to cry.
"Berlin?... Berlin, what's wrong?" Gustav asked as he looked over then, left his place at the drums to tend to Berlin
"Gustav, what's going on?" Tom asked
Gustav lifted Berlin out of her stroller and tried to comfort her.
Soon, Berlin's cries quieted as she rested her head on Gustav's shoulder.
"Maybe she wanted to be held." Georg said
Gustav put a pacifier in Berlin's mouth and said "Possibly. She could just be wanting her pacifier as well."
