Suddenly Family

Part 4

On the way back home, Berlin started to crying again.
Georg lowered himself into the steering wheel as his bandmates tried to calm the baby down.
"Linnie, it's alright. Don't cry, we'll be home soon." Tom said
Bill shook a rattle in front of Berlin and asked "Did we wake you?"
"Don't be sad, Berlin...Do you need something?" Gustav asked as he turned to go through Berlin's diaper bag
Finally, Georg looked up in the rear view mirror and said "Oh she's making that face again." and pulled over
Then, Georg and Gustav got out of the van and began to check on Berlin as Bill and Tom tried to calm her cries.
"She's sick." Gustav said
"Do we need to take her to a doctor?" Bill asked
"It would be best." Gustav said
Berlin continued to cry as they waited in the doctor's office.
"Don't be scared, Lin. The doctor will be here and make it all better." Tom soothed
Soon, there was a knock on the door.
The doctor came in and looked Berlin over.
"Is our little girl okay?" Bill asked
"She's just got an ear infection she'll be fine in a few days." the doctor said
Later when the guys brought Berlin home, she was still cranky but Bill sang to her to calm her down.
Berlin laid her head on Bill's chest as he walked through the house and sang.
Meanwhile, Tom was in the kitchen trying to prepare Berlin's medicine when Bill brought Berlin into the kitchen.
Tom turned to face Berlin in Bill's arms as he held the syringe of medicine.
Berlin cried out loud as the medicine was being given.
"Don't cry, Lin. It's okay." Tom reassured
"It's alright, baby. It's not going to hurt forever." Bill said
Soon, Georg and Gustav came in as they heard Berlin's cries.
"What's wrong, Berlin?" Georg asked
"Are you sick, little girl?" Gustav asked
"Nein. She's only reacting to the pinch." Tom replied
Berlin cried and reached for her ear.
Bill rubbed her head and kissed her on the forehead reassuringly.
Georg went to Berlin's room and got her glow worm.
When he came back, Berlin calmed down.
"Berlin, look what I have!" he said
Berlin looked over then reached out her little arms as Georg gave her the glow worm.
"Now she calms down." Tom said as he laughed
"Of course. She really doesn't like things in her ears." Bill said
"If that's the case then, I wonder what else we can do to help her ear infection." Gustav said
Soon, Berlin yawned.
"Maybe some rest would do the trick." Georg said
They watched as Berlin sleepily laid her head against Bill's chest and smiled.
"She looks so cute." Gustav said
"Of course she does. She's our daughter." Tom said as he smiled
