"Do you think we lost them?"
"I don't know but there gonna find us since were bleeding."
My legs started to slow down, since I just gone from a sprint to a walk to let me catch my breathe better.
My hands ran through my hair while I stopped next to a tree in the woods.
"So how are we gonna explain this one?"
I turned my head towards Liam as he looked over at me.
"Shit." I mumbled.
"Your mom is gonna kill us when she finds out."
"She's not gonna find out." I snapped back while sitting down.
"I'll just tell her we got lost again."
"Lexi we used that excuse a thousand times already."
I sighed while leaning my head back, looking up at the leaves on the tree.
He's right, we have used that excuse and my mom isn't buying it anymore.
But I can't let her know we were in the woods again.
I stood up from ground, brushing off any dirt that was on my pants.
"I'll think of something." I said looking over at Liam then started to follow the path back to home.

I slowly turned the handle to the door of my family's house.
"Lets hurry up and go to the bathroom to clean up before my mom sees us." I whispered to Liam.
He noded and slowly followed me inside.
"Lexi? Is that you?" I heard my mom say from a distance.
"Fuck." I mumbled under my breathe then quickly went to go upstairs but stopped when I saw my mom starting to walk down it.
I knew I wasn't gonna get out of this one.
"Lexi where have yo- Oh my gosh! Why do you both have blood stains going through your clothes?"
She rushed down the stairs then grabbed my arm looking at it.
"Mom." I whined trying to pull my arm back but she wouldn't give it up.
"You were in the woods again huh?" Her icy blue eyes met mine.
I didn't answer.
A million of excuses ran thro my mind but none that I could use.
"Liam were you both in the woods?" She said putting my arm down, looking over at him.
Liam looked at me then back at my mom.
"Yes we were."
"Liam." I mumbled while giving him the wtf look.
"Lexi what did I tell you about going in the woods?"
"Mo-"
"No I'm being serious. You know it's not safe especially when you both don't have any weapons to protect your self." She explained while butting in.
I didn't say anything and couple seconds of silence went by.
I looked up at my mom when I heard her breathe in deeply before speaking.
"We'll talk more about it later now you two go get cleaned up."
