Stay Away

CHAPTER FOURTEEN 

               ~Chloe

NO WAY!

THIS CAN'T BE.

I can't think straight. I can't believe what my eyes are seeing. He's back. I called Aaliyah's phone but she's not answering it.

"Hey, sofie. Chloe needs to go out for a while. If ever the concert ended up early and I'm not yet back, just stay right here. Call me if something happens, okay?" I ask in a loud tone. She just nodded and didn't really focus on what I'm saying. I don't have time to scold her because I need to find my best friend as soon as possible. 

I kept on calling her phone until finally "Hey, Chloe. Guess what? I was in their dresser room and-" I cut her off saying "Get out of there. Meet me at the nearby Starbucks, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE." I emphasized the word ASAP 'cause I can't let my best friend see that guy.

I also have to tell this to Madison and Ryuu as soon as possible.

"and-" what's wrong with her? That's the first time Chloe hung up and snap at me. Before she became the once in a lifetime hulk that I knew, I better hurry up or else I'll go home being bald.

I saw Chloe sitting at the corner. As I approached her, I saw her hands trembling. "Hey, Chlow, you okay? Why are you trembling?" she stiffens when she saw me. "Aali, tell me honestly. Have you met a guy named Michael Choi?" she looked at me as if she was staring deeply in my soul. "I don't know if I remember it correctly, but I think I met a guy named Michael." she froze as the name of the person came out of my lips. I stare at her confused. And we just sat there in an awkward silence.

"Okay, Chlow. I don't know what's all these stuff about but-" she cut me off saying "AALIYAH MATSUMOTO. STAY. AWAY. FROM. HIM. I mean it." she said it emphasizing every words. I never knew that Chloe has this kind of side. I only knew that whenever she's dead serious, she'll just give me a warning. But this warning is different of all the warnings she gave me. It's really serious that it's scares the hell out of me.

She suddenly gazes up on me with a worried look. "Aali, look. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you like that. It's just that I'm worried for you. I don't want you to get hurt again. I don't want to be separated to you again like what happened before. Moreover, I don't want you to forget about me. You're my one and only best friend. So please, I'm begging you. Stay away from that guy as long as you can." I saw tears fell down on Chloe's cheeks. That's the first time she beg me like that.

"Chlow, even though I don't understand what are you trying to say, yes, I will stay away from him so don't cry anymore okay?" she wiped her tears at the back of her hand and smiled. "Thank you Aali."    

"Shoot! I have to go back and pick up Sofie at the concert hall right now. I have to go." she stood up and before walking out "Do you want a ride or-" I smiled at her and said, "Nah, don't worry about me. I still have to go somewhere anyways." She eyed me with a where-the-hell-are-you-going-at-the-middle-of-the-night look. "Chlow, chill. I'm just going to the convenient store to buy some stuff." she frowned and after she realize it she form an 'o' with her lips. She waved goodbye to me before leaving.

I was thinking hard, what is the reason why Chloe acted like that but my phone suddenly rings. I checked the caller's name and in my disappointment it was that jerk. Urgh! I do really need to change his name in my phone because I want to puke whenever I see his name flashing on my cell phone’s screen.
