Concert Trouble?

CHAPTER THIRTEEN 

"Aaliiiii-yahhhhhhh! Aaliiiii-yahhhhhhh!" Gab and Ash called me in a sing sang tone. I kept on walking not turning my head on their way. For sure, they'll just persuade me to go with them in the concert. Therefore, I just kept on walking until I bumped into someone.

"Hey, Aaliyah!" chimed the guy. I looked at him and said "Oh, hello there! Uhmm. . . Mr. Younger Twin." I smiled nervously. "Jacob. Call me Jacob." Woah, that was unexpected. I thought he's going to frown or get mad or maybe shout at me but he just smiled warmly. "Oh, yeah Jacob. Uhmm. . . can I ask you some favor?" I said and he nodded. "Can you please help me get away with them?" I pointed to Gab, Ash, and Kaylee. I was surprised when he held my hand. "At the count of three. One. Two. Three. Run!"

I was panting when he spoke. " Woah, that was amazing. You ran really fast." he complimented me. I just smiled and sat at the swing. This place feels so peaceful. I can hear the wind whistle. "This place is so nice. Everything is so peaceful." I said. "We used to hang around here every now and then. In good and bad times." he smiled but I can still feel the hurt and pain in his voice. I want to ask him why but it's awkward because we just barely spoke and it's like this is the first time talking to him. No, actually this the first time.

"Based on your expression you want to know something." he said while sitting at the swing beside me. "Feel free to ask something. As long as I can answer it." he playfully said. "Uhmm. . . Not being rude but, why do I feel like you've been in pain and hurt?" I asked curiously. "Oh, that. It's just that, I met someone here but unfortunately, she doesn't remember me anymore." he gazed up in the sky after telling me that. "Ohh, so it's a 'SHE' and not just someone? It's someone 'SPECIAL', am I right?" he blushed and I chuckled because he looks so cute when he's embarrassed.

I wondered why these twins have a very different personality. He chuckled and I was shocked, "Did I just say that out loud?" He just laughed and eyed me. "You want to know. Then I'll tell you." he said in a serious tone.

"Back then, Jeno and I were really close. We both have same personality as everyone keeps on saying. Nice, friendly, thoughtful and sweet. But until one day, he became cold as stone. He shut us out every now and then. We keep asking him what are his reasons but he won't answer any of our questions. One day, he came to me saying 'Why does it have to be you, Jacob? What have I done to deserve this?' Then that's the time I realized, 'Ah, so the girl he liked only got close to him because she liked me. Not Jeno.' That's the reason why Jeno changed and became cold especially when it comes to love. He doesn't believe in love anymore. He told us that falling in love is just a stupid thing because you're just going to end up hurting yourself. So now. . . " he stopped when tears roll down on his face.

I looked at him with a sad expression. I never knew that they had to experience something like that. He glanced at me and smiled

"Now, I want to return the favor. I'll let go of the special someone I'm talking about 'cause I think Jeno is now falling in love with her but he didn't realized it yet. His mind keeps on denying it but his heart is now ready to open up once again." I looked deeply in his eyes. I want to comfort him but I don't know what to do in this kind of situation. So I just told him, "I wish I could also have that kind-heart personality of yours." I smiled as I stood up.

The bell already rang. I was about to stand when people surrounded me. "What's with that scene a while ago? Why were you with Jacob?  Do you like Jacob? Are you two secretly dating? I thought you were with Jeno? We are so jealous of you. You both have the twins." Urgh! Why do they have to bombard me with so many questions? Why do they have to butt in to other people’s business? Why do they care so much? "Look, guys. I-" I was about to argue back when someone grab my wrist.
