CHAPTER FIFTEEN

"Class, settle down." English is our first subject and well, our class is in uproar congratulating my back mate, which is that jerk. "Hey, Aali!" Ash, Gab, and Kaylee beamed at me before sitting in front of me.

"You know what, the concert was a success. The six of them were complete. We thought that Michael wouldn't be able to attend their concert because for what we know he's in Japan." I gave them a So-what?-I'm-not-interested look and keep on fixing my things until a bunch of fan girls of that jerk surrounded my place.

"Aaliyah, I thought you weren't into concert?" I frowned not really getting what she meant. "Yeah? Why would I?" I told her sarcastically.

Then the second girl butt in. "But we saw you at the concert hall. The guard gave you what we think it's a pass and we actually saw you enter the backstage." she stated it curiously.

I was recalling what really happened that time and when I realized it I just formed an "O" in my lips. "Nah, I'm not really into concerts and all of you knew that. It's just that there is this freaking annoying guy being so demanding that he wants his usual coffee to be brought to him ASAP. “They looked at each other and giggled while suddenly. . .

Light bulb Moment!

"Oh, Wait a minute. Do you guys want to know something really interesting?" I said in a loud voice so that I'll catch everyone's attention. I didn't even imagine that our teacher would be also curious.

"The thing you guys saw last Saturday, it's not what you really think it is. I don't want to be misunderstood so I'm saying this. This jerk asked me to buy his usual coffee for him." I pointed my index finger and gave him a disappointed look.

I inhale then exhale. Okay, this is now my payback. "He also asked me to clean their dressing room. And guys, guess what? I saw his-" my mouth was covered before I even finish my sentence. I was dragged in the locker room before I even know it.

"Ouch! Let me go!" His face was flushed red and his eyes were ready to pop out in no time. He's now really pissed at me and ready to explode. Well, we're now tie.

"Who told you that you can tell everyone about that?" he said between gritted teeth. "About what? About those messy things in your dressing room? Or about that under wears, shirts, pants, and socks hanging everywhere?" I said holding my laughter. I really want to laugh out loud 'cause seriously, this is the first time I saw him panic that much.

I was about to burst out laughing when he slammed both of his hands between my head cornering me. I was surprised how close our faces are. It's only a mere inches away from each other. I gulped when his smirked shows up on his face.

"I'm warning you, don't you dare tell anyone what you saw at our dressing room. Or else I might do something to you that you'll regret." he grinned at me while I raised my eyebrows at him.

He removed his hands between my head and put it in his pocket. “I know a lot about you. So, if you don't want your secrets to be spilled, just do what I say." he smirked before walking away.

Urgh! I really hate this guy. I want to kill him right now. I'm so irritated that I felt like throwing my shoes at him.  He stops and turns his way to face me. "Don't you dare, Short Cake. Or else I'll steal your first kiss." he said with a cocky grin on his face.

"How-" I was interrupted before starting my sentence. "I have my ways Short Cake. I have my ways." he winked at me before turning his heels.

What the hell was that wink for?! And what? Short Cake?! Am I that really short?

"Keep your thoughts to yourself, my Short Cake." he yelled not turning his face.

                       *   *   *   *   *

"Hey Aali, you should join. This Broadway is perfect for you." Ash and Gab chimed. "Yeah. Why don't you try it?" Kaylee said. I actually want to try out but my gut feeling is hesitant. I have this feeling that it wouldn't turn out well if I join. Plus, I'm sure that that jerk would be one of the auditionees, so let's drop it.

I stood up ignoring their suggestion when a bunch of people surrounded me.

"Aaliyah, you should join!"

"You'll be perfect for this role."

"We love to see you perform with Jeno."

"You and Jeno would look perfect on stage."

"You two would look great."

All of them talk at the same time that I felt a little suffocated and dizzy. My vision got a little blurry and something flashback.

"You can't be his best friend."

"Don't go near him."

"Your worlds are way big different."

"He'll catch ugliness so stay away to him."

"You bitch! Don't feel so high and mighty just because he's your friend."

"Die."

What was that? Something new flashback. I can't see the faces of those people but why do they have to say those words? I really can't figure it out.

My knees go weak and I was about to stumble at the ground when a pair of hands catches me. I checked it up who is it and before I passed out I saw the twins.

                    *   *   *   *   *

Where am I?

Duh, of course inside the infirmary.

Urgh! I hate this. Every time I collapse, my head feels so heavy. It was spinning like there was no tomorrow.

"Oh, Aaliyah, my dear. Are you alright now? Or do you still feel-" I cut her off by raising my right hand to stop sign. I asked her how long I passed out and she told me that it was about 2 hours. I looked at my wristwatch and it was already 10:50.

"Shoot! I can't miss my favorite class. Thanks for the help Ms. Nurse. Bye." I gave her a small wave before turning my heels. P.E. class is my favorite class and Ms. Sam is my favorite teacher. It is my favorite class because I love track and field. I relieve my stress by running until I can't breathe anymore. Running is one of my special ability after dancing.

After I changed my regular uniform, I heard Ms. Sam called after me. "Hey, Aaliyah. Are you feeling better now? I heard that you collapsed again. I'll excuse you if you're still feeling-" I just passed by before saying "Wanna bet who'll win, Ms. Samantha?" I said without turning my head to her.

"Game on."

                 *   *   *   *   *

"Hey, kiddo's start warming up!" Ms. Sam yelled. Then one of  my guy classmate shouted “Hey, guys! Get your asses here and let's see who'll win this time!"

     *First Lap: I won.*

     *Second Lap: I still won.*

     *Third Lap: I won again.*

     *Fourth Lap:  I still won again.*

     *Fifth Lap: And lastly, I won.*

"Wow. This feels so great. It's been a long time that I run like this! You're so good Aaliyah." Ms. Sam said while catching her breath. I half-laughed half-smirked. "Ms. Sam, admit it. I'm better than you." I winked at her and she spanked my butt playfully.

Then suddenly, someone speaked behind me and yeah, it's Jeno. The guy who's ego is much larger than Russia. "Ms. Samantha is it true that she's the only one that can beat you in track and field?" he pointed his index finger at me while looking at me with one eyebrow raise. Ms. Sam just nodded, still catching her breath.

"Then why don't I get a revenge for you ma'am? How's that?" he said grinning to both me and Ms. Sam. Ms. Sam smiled while I gave him a 'Seriously?' look.

 "Call?"

"Call."
