Sherlock was used to being alone although when you said that you were over he just thought that you were upset and get over it eventually coming back to him in a couple of days a week at the most but that didn't happen. But Sherlock being Sherlock he didn't think that he needed you or that's what he told himself.

******

Sherlock's family loved you, you gave hope to his parents that they could become one day grandparents and to Mycroft well you weren't irritating and you could hold an intelligent conversation with him. So it came as a shock to the Holmes parents that you weren't there to greet them when they came to visit 221b Baker Street.

'So where's (y/n)?' Mrs Holmes questioned after her rambling about Mr Holmes lost lottery ticket. This question seemed to snap Sherlock out of his mind palace. It's been over 2 months, 2 months, 2 weeks, 3 days and 13hours to be exact but it's not like Sherlock cared or anything, a mantra that was repeated in his head every time he thought about you.

'Um.' Sherlock hesitates

'Sherlock' Mrs Holmes says sternly

'She left.' He says blankly, no emotions

'What do you mean 'she left'? I do-'his father starts

'She left, as in she broke up with me!' he yells but seeing the startled looks on his face he says in a quieter tone

'She left Baker Street. She left me' it's hard for him to get it out so it sounded chocked

'oh Sherlock' Mrs Holmes mutters never have the Holmes parents had to deal with a break up in the family before you were a miracle in itself but now they don't know how to deal with it.

'What happened?' Sherlock's father asks carefully

'It was my fault,' Sherlock mutters, shocking his parents

'I forgot our anniversary, she yelled when I got back from a case, can't blame her, then she left came back next day to get her belongings' close to tears and very out of character for Sherlock but that's just how much you impacted on his life.

'And you didn't stop her? Didn't go after her?' raising the volume in her voice sounding like she was scolding a child and really it did seem like it.

'Well I couldn't find her' he mumbles looking down acting very much like a scolded child

'You have a brother that works for the government, hell he is the government, I'm sure he could find her'

*******

After forcing the information out of Mycroft he found you at Mycroft's

'Of course the one place I would never think of' he thought he knocks on the door knowing that you would answer as Mycroft was at work. You open the door putting an earring in one ear, dressed up getting ready for a date that your mother, who hated Sherlock and you being together, set up for you. You're shocked, as is he as he quickly deduces that you are getting ready for a date,

'Sherlock?' surprised not hearing from him since the break up

'(y/n) he breathes out

'What are you doing here?' already figuring out that he did something to get your location

'Stopping you from going on that date' you sigh

'Sherlock'

'No' he cuts you off

'Letting you walk out was the biggest mistake I've made. No I'm serious. I was even scolded by mummy' you can't help but laugh at this

'Really' you bit your lip, trying to hide your happiness

'Yes, I'm incredibly sorry (y/n) you were my miracle now please I need another miracle preferably you to take this. What were your words again? Inconsiderate, egotistical asshole?'

'Yeah something like that'

'Will you take him back?' you sigh already knowing your answer

'Fine you nutter take me home'

******

And all alone your forgotten date sat waiting for you to show up, after an hour he calls your mum and all she can say is

'THAT BLOODY HOLMES!'
