I knew a girl from long ago
Her heart full of love and joy
She was only in this world for a few short years
Yet she fell in love with a boy
She smiled whenever they spoke
Her eyes shone brighter than ever before
Though she tried her hardest to tell him her feelings
She, he would always ignore
The oblivion was wearing down on her
She slowly began to fall
He then fell for another girl
He thought he had it all
The girl I knew turned cold
She shut out all the light
She gave all her love to a boy she never knew
She fell out of sight
She fell from the heavens
Her smile replaced with pain
The boy she once wanted for herself
Left her out in the rain
She cried herself to sleep
And cut open her arms and thighs
Her heart cried out for the love she wanted
Though she knew he would never arrive
The boy's heart was broken
And the girl was filled with small hope
Though her body was still full with horrible pain
Hopefully he wouldn't let her choke
She still longs for his comfort
She waits for her heart to return
Yet she knows he would never love her back
