For the girl with the Canadian hat and my used to be friend

I brought this pain upon your life

I wish I could tell you, so don't ask me why

But I'm not blind and I can see

That this hurts you much more than it ever hurt me

I don't even know why we continue not to speak

But this continues to hurt me, week by week

So I'm doing this for you, for me and for her

I want us to be happy and for it go back to what we once were

I'll forget about them, they don't mean a thing

I've realised that they helped me with nothing

You both were here when they weren't

So I'm going to make it my best effort to get past this hurt

So all I want for Christmas is for your smiles to return

And if this poem taught you anything, I hope that you've learnt

That through courage and sacrifice we all must succeed

I've decided for Christmas this is my one good deed

I told you both once that god is strange

He gives challenges to those who are strong and those who must change

So I've decided that enough is enough

For my new year, all the fighting is done

I'll put away the hurtful words, my bias ways and lies

I'll put away everything and I'll say goodbye

If you can find it in your heart and except me for me

Hopefully you both know that I'm so truly sorry
