Reality vs Imagination

Missed You

            I was startled by the noise of a drill so I threw my robe on and ran downstairs.  Dad was putting something on the wall.  "What's that?"   I shouted of the noise.  Dad stopped and turned around so that he was facing me.

            "What's that sweety?"  Obviously he didn't hear what I said.

             "I said what's that?"

            "Oh that is a brand new alarm.  That way there will be no more unwanted guests here while I'm gone"   I narrowed my eyes at him.

            "Really Dad?  We're still on that?  I thought I told you that he was helping me!"   I stressed at him.

             " I know, I know, I know but still having a new security system can't hurt."  

             "Dad!  Wait didn't we just get a new one last week?"   I questions as I placed my hands on my hips.

              "Yeah!  But this one is a thousand times better!"

              "You said that about the last one, Dad."   I rolled my eyes and I leaned back against the wall.

               " But did the last one use a finger print scanner to open the door?  See all you do is place your finger here and bam!  The door opens.  And anytime a stranger tries to open the door after the third attempt it shocks them."

                "Dad! Isn't that like....Illegal or something?"

                "Of course not!  That's why I installed it.  Now come over here while I set the default to your finger print.".

                 I let out a loud sigh and did everything Dad instructed me to do.  I went back up stairs, into my room, and locked the door.  I picked out my outfit before jumping in the shower.

                I walked out of the shower with my tower wrapped around my body and walked into my room.   "Hey there, Babe!"

                  I let out a loud shriek before placing my hand on my chest.  "Damn it Rose!  You gave me heart attack.  Who let you in?  And my door was locked!"

                 She shrugged as she looked threw my book case.  "I let myself in and I have my own key to your door."   She stated blandly.

                "Bitch!  Well I'm going to pick Tyler up from the hospital, wanna come with?"   I asked as I got dressed.  I didn't mind getting dressed in front of Rose because her and I have been friends since elementary school.

                "Yeah!  Wait what happened to the poor little guy anyways?  Too much mascara."

               I wiped away some access mascara as I began to tell her the story.  I took one last glance at myself in the mirror before turning to her.  "Ready?". I asked.  Rose nodded and we linked arms and went down stairs only to find a post-it note on the kitchen island.

  Sorry I had to leave by short notice, I didn't have enough time to personally say goodbye.  I'm going on a business trip to Europe and won't be back for a month. Be a good girl and keep stay out of trouble.

                   I let out a long sigh before turning to Rose.  She looked at my confused so I simply handed her the note before walking outside. 

                 "This is fucking bullshit!!"   I shout at the top of my lungs and I fall to my knees.  I felt Rose place a hand on my shoulder and I shook it off.  "I'm fine."   I mumbled.  I got up and headed towards my car.  "C'mon babe,  Tyler awaits us."   I stated.  Rose hopped into the passenger seat and strapped her seat belt on.

                  I rolled into the parking lot and stationed my car.  I took a few deep breaths before getting out.  "Hey are you sure you're okay?"   Rose asked, concerned of my out burst. 

                  "Honestly I'm fine Rose, gee.  And if you ask me one more time then I'm going to slap all your make up off your face."

                  "Damn, my bad.  So I was thinking maybe when we get Tyler we could go for ice cream or something. "   Rose suggested.

                  I nodded my head as we entered the building.  "I'm here to pick up Tyler Lining. ". I told the lady at the desk,  She went through her computer and nodded.  "Bring your car up front and he'll be rolled down here in a wheelchair."  she said with a smile.

                  I thanked and went for my car.  Rose said she would wait in the front for Tyler.  I parked in the front and saw Tyler and Rose chatting so I honked the horn.

                  "Sissy!!!" Tyler shouted. I climbed out and walked over to Tyler and embraced him in a tight hug.  "I missed you Sissy.  The people in there didn't read me bedtime stories like you do.".

                   I smiled deeply and inhaled his sent.  I missed him so much.  Without Tyler I would be still depressed about Mom.  I thank God everyday for lending me Tyler.

                 "Who's up for ice cream?!"   Rose shouted.  "Meeee!!!". Tyler sang.
