"How good are you at riding a bike?" Peter asked with a smirk.

I didn't answer him, instead I just stared ahead. Truth is, I cant't ride a bike, at all. My face must have given it away because he just says, "Ah, I see, little miss perfect doesn't know how to ride a bike."  it was in a playful tone but he continued, "Well that isn't an issue.  Lucky for you, I am pretty good and shall teach you everything there is to riding a bike."

I had no words instead I just laughed.  Peter placed his hand on my knee and gave it a little squeeze. The warmth from his hand sent shivers to my spine but the good kind. As soon as he removed his hand from my knee the shivers went away and my mind back to reality.  I then stupidly asked, "I thought you said we were going to the movies."

"I indeed said that but I like the idea of riding bikes in the park on such a gorgeous afternoon.   Plus I have something to show you, I think you may enjoy it.  If we have enough time afterwards we could still catch a movie, although I highly doubt you'd want to." Peter responded rather spontaneously.

I feel heat rise in my cheeks but try to ignore it and start nibbling on my bottle lip.

Soon enough we arrived at the park and a we parked in front of a small bike shack.  I've never been at this park before.  It looks bigger than the one I'm used to.  Maybe I could bring Tyler here I'm sure he'd enjoy the view not to mention the extremely large play set. It had a blend of bright colors like Pink, blue, orange, green, purple, and red. Four sets of swings that held 20 kids total, a spiral orange slide, blue and purple monkey bars, and so much more.

Peter rented two bikes that were pink and a lime green, he presented me with the pink one.  "Ew!" I shrieked and caused Peter to make a face of concern.

"What?  Is there something wrong?"  He asked.  I nodded my head and pointed at the pink bike and scrunched my nose.  "I don't like pink."

Peter relaxed his shoulders and said, "Really?" as he eyed me and continued, "That's it? I'll just switch it with-"

"Your green one and you ride the pink one? Sounds great!" I quickly added and batted my eyes.  Peter let out a loud sigh and offered me the green bike instead. I smiled deeply and joyfully took the bike.

Peter and I sat side-by-side on the ground and watched the sunset. After all that riding I really could use a nap.  As soon as the sun was gone my eyes shut as well.  I then felt a shove and I quickly woke up. Peter had driven me home and we were already parked outside in my drive way.

I glace over to Peter and met his gaze. He looked so peaceful and calm.  He leaned in close and placed a kiss on my lips. "You need to rest, beautiful." He whispered.  "Come in with me." I pleaded.  Peter accepted and walked me up to my room.  Once in bed we cuddled the whole night until I drifted off to sleep.

The following morning I awoke to an empty bed and a noted that read:

Good Morning, Beautiful.

Sorry I had to leave so early, I would have woken you up to say good-bye but you looked too peaceful and I didn't want to disturb that.

I'll see you later today and maybe Tyler could join us for lunch at Jake's Grill.  And I leave you a rose as well so that you won't miss me too bad.

~Peter

I quickly grabbed my phone and called Rose. "Meet me at Pancake Empire, you won't believe what happened."
