I stared out the window that has a great view of the town as I waited for Rose.  "Hello I'm Jacky and I'll be your waiter for today." A peppy brunette said with a wide smile. "Today's special is called the Dirty Biscuit.  It's  a fluffy buttery biscuit drowned in gravy of your choice.  It has a side of bacon and eggs or hash."  I nodded and acted like I was listening when in reality I was in my own world.  I looked down at my menu then back up at her. "Um, I'll take two orders of hot cakes and two small cappuccinos. I'd also like a slice of your best pie."  I ordered and watched as Jacky scribbled it down on her notepad.  She repeated it to me and I nodded.  "Alrighty, your order will be done soon." Jacky stated with a huge smile before retreating to the kitchen.

I continued to stare out the window as I fumbled with my fingers. "Alright babe!" a loud voice said, Rose.  "Tell me everything" Rose said as she slid in front of  me. " I want details!  Did you guys hold hands?  Kiss?" She questioned then gasped dramatically.  "Did you guys have sex? OMG!  If you did then don't tell me about it but did you-"

"Whoa there, calm down.  Let's get back to reality and stop making up stuff." I interjected.  Before I could continue Jacky came back with our food.  "Wait you ordered without me?"  Rose scowled.

"Yeah but don't worry about it." I assured her and took a sip of my cappuccino.

"Hold up there missy!  Come back!  I need to order something else."  Rose called out.

"Rude.  Her name is Jacky." I stated.

"Well my bad. " Rose sneered.  "Okay I want some of those super cheesy eggs and bacon please."

I rolled my eyes and waited for her to finish ordering so that I can finally go back to telling her what Peter and I did. Well it wasn't that interesting anyways, its just been so long since I've felt safe.

"Alright, now that thats done, go on with your magical night with Mr. Knight In Shing Armor." Rose insisted.

"Don't call him that." I offered.

"Fine! Just quite stalling and just tell me!"  She demanded.

"Okay, well we went to the park." I slowly began. "Then he taught me how to ride a bike after that we bought ice cream, nothing out of the ordinary.  I don't know being with him just made me forget about Mom, Dad, lonelyness, everything.  I just felt so safe, so loved, so full he's just perfect." I continued.

Rose did say anything she just waited for me to stop talking.  I could see that she was actually feeling really happy for me.

"Yeesh, he's a keeper.  But no one is perfect so don't let your gaurd down too much.  He never even looked your way for years.  I just feel like there's something weird going on, haven't you ever thought about that?"

"Why are you bringing this up now?"  I ran my fingers through my hair knowing she was right.  "Why didn't you stop me?  Why did you let me get this deep into the relationship?"

Rose looked at me with appologetic eyes then said "Look I'm sorry but I've never seen you so happy in like forever and I didn't want to ruin it for you and-

"Well you already ruined it for me so thanks.  I would have much rathered you tell me before than now. I'm not hungry anymore."  I spat and threw some money on the table before leaving.
